At section 5, part 22, you see the Year and Month attributes, but instructor told nothing about them before. You can't understand where did they came from. And the installation procedure changed. There is no free trial anymore like the instructor told. The course needs a complete review.

A little slow in places (sometimes trainer seemed to be a little long in deciding what colors / sizes of fonts etc to use. But otherwise some good info. I would have maybe gotten more out of it if the info was presented from the large to smaller details. Show me where you are heading (big Picture) then explain the details behind it - I got lost sometimes in the explanations of what obects were before I actually saw how they were utilized.

I don't recommend this course. Why? 1) You can find some attributes like date (THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT), and he has been used it in the course, but there is no explanation how he brings it to the project. This is so hard for who are new to Microstrategy because has to figure out by his own and there is not many free courses or resources available. So it's not easy to find out the solution. 2. He is using one table but, again nowhere he explains how to import or created this table. This course is like a puzzle, you are following it and in some point something is missing, so you need to spend 4 days to figure it out 3. The Answer from the professor is not complete at all, he doesn't try to elaborate and help to figure out the issue and his answer is very short and not helpful.

1) The instructor could have explained what why he was doing what he was doing in a few sentences to help the student know the benefit of what was being shown. 2) The Dashboard section should have used the same data in as in the first part of the course rather than a new spreadsheet.

Recomendado para perfiles con experiencia en el sector de este tipo de herramientas pero que no hayan tocado nunca MicroStrategy en su versión Enterprise. Muy bueno para romper mano. Advertencia: hay que pegarse bastante con la instalación y configuración, tanto en la metadata como a la base de datos relacional. En los videos no se explica suficiente mente bien y ordenada esa parte. Todo lo referente a los conectores ODBC, bastante mal, y las dudas planteadas no se resuelven. Toca mirar mucho foro para poder configurar las herramientas.

Very good attempt, overall a comprehensive approach. Adding explanations to data connectors and data sources would be helpful. This is not just IT but a reporting tool so an understanding of financial reporting and use of proper reporting terminology, for example Gross Margin or Net Income would be useful. More thought into examples and presentations will help to make this course great. I would also add a guide to micro strategy interface (functionality of various components).

Trainer navigates well, shows each and every sections, good to have this training if you are new to Reporting. However, trainer could have done better while explaining and concepts, at times he simply navigates but he is not able to effectively explain concepts behind it.
