Having observed others and self taught some basics, this review was a great introduction and addition to the basic skills I had possessed prior. The instruction was simple and effective.

As it says in the title this is a beginner's course, which is the refresher I needed. Have taken more advanced Excel courses. The problem with those is unless you're a regular user of the program it's impossible to retain everything. What this course is the basics of Excel; the tools most people casual users need. The course is straightforward and presented in a warm and friendly style. One that I'll be able to use as a quick reference in years to come.

Course was very informative, but also easy for a new user like myself to follow and understand while learning the many functions. Very clear directions from Brian, and showed he was very engaged in his teachings by reaching out to his students and advising to contact him if there were any questions or if we needed more clarification. Thoroughly enjoyed the course.

This course starts with basic functionality that you can use right away. Next it introduces more advanced functions including, Conditional Formatting, Graphs and Charts. Brian does a great job of demonstrating the power of Excel with just a taste of what it can do, leaving the door open for further exploration. Nice Job Brian.

This course covers what I need to know for Excel 2013. I especially liked the lecture on Conditional Formatting. I always wondered how people did that to make their spreadsheets both visually appealing and useful for data analysis. Pay attention to the example spreadsheet that tracks book sales revenue - you can use it for any kind of sales. There's a lot of business analytics you can do right in Excel if you know how. Another great course from Brian Jackson.
