Why take this course?

The 70-744: Securing Windows Server 2016 course covers the topic of enhancing the security of the IT infrastructure in detail. At the start, this course focuses on the importance of assuming that network breaches have occurred already, and then goes on to brief the students on how to rectify the breach and protect administrative credentials and rights to make sure that the system administrator can perform the necessary tasks to avoid such occurrences in future.

This course also teaches the in-depth knowledge about mitigation of malware, spyware and other threats that can compromise the security and integrity of any organization’s data. The course teaches the students on how to use the Advanced Threat Analysis feature in Windows Server 2016, securing virtualization platform, and use new deployment options.

The course 70-744: Securing Windows Server 2016 covers the exam topics of the Microsoft exam 70-744. This course is designed to help the aspiring candidates of the said exam. In addition to that, the course is equally helpful for network and system administrators working in a network security job-role. The course helps the students to understand the essential tools and techniques to secure the Windows Server 2016 environments.

This series will then prepare you to take the MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure exams. Prior to this, you must complete the 70-740, 70-741, and 70-742 series and take the MCSA: Windows Server 2016 exams.

Interesantes los temas que se van a tocar, veremos como se va desarrollando el curso, por el momento muy bien.

Similarly to MCSA course, could be more demos which could be more "tidy". It was a nice recap of exam material though and it's good for quick review before taking an exam.

Excellent course! Would have been 5 stars, but it needs more powershell examples, as MS likes to bombard you with PS questions...

While this certification is ending on 1/31/2021, his video's are very clear, concise, and easy to learn from. Can't recommend this unless you plan on passing before the above date.

Hello, While all the topics in the curriculum are covered, the course is not enough to make you pass the exam. It is a good addition to your study material though. Microsoft expects you to look at the technet articles on the topics aswell. I used book and this course and I barely passed. Some questions are only answerable if you looked at the technet articles.

The video was recorded at the wrong resolution, leaving big black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. To make it worse, the actual window he was trying to show you is even smaller, leaving a space at the top and bottom between the windows edges and the big black bars. He could of at least tried to compensate by making the text larger and/or zooming in to a section to make it easier to see. So far, I don't believe he has actually covered any course material for the 70-744 exam. I want to pass the test, and if he does not change direction soon, this will be of no use to me. Also, he tried to show how a sys-internal tool worked, but he himself failed to get the results he wanted. Does he expect me to be able to get the proper results if even he, the expert, can not do so?

5* = More hands on videos and test the configuration made in the videos. (Example: IPSec Connection test and not only the Wizard) Some doesn't work properly after trying it... (DNS Policy,...) But anyway a very good course and worth all the money I paid. Personally I came from CBT Nuggets where the trainer interacts more with the viewer. (But far more expensive and no 70-744 course) Next step -> MCSE Certification :) Thanks to the trainer! See you.

I think it needs to be more on technical views and real life scenarios like the way Microsoft questions are setup.

Hi Patrick, This course was up to my expectations and worth paying for. You absolutely did your best in providing the utmost important information in today's technology, even considering I'm a late student for this material. I've learned a whole bunch and can't wait to implement many of these explanations after I finished my current projects. You really deserve a nice time with your family and friends for putting this much effort in this. I truly loved it! The only thing, but that's the beauty of this profession, you could've had more succes in your demo's and a little less sighing dough I get where it's coming from with all of this information. Sometimes it bothered me, but considering what you've accomplished bringing this material, I find it a minor issue. It's rather an advice for future video's. I certainly think high of you! You're a real professional! Thank you, Martijn

Everything is covered from the the exam objectives. Overall, great training. I used this training along with the exam ref and some other videos. I passed this exam today 1/18/2019 ! Thanks for the videos, 2nd series I've went through with Patrick here on Udemy, first was the 70-742, keep up the good work!

I very much enjoyed following the course, I'm preparing for the 70-744 exam, won't know till I've taken the exam how comprehensive and relevant the course has been. What I did find a shame is that at numerous occassions the instructor was confused about his own test lab when performing some demo's, I don't really have a problem with him being confused and/or making mistakes, but I would appreciate it if he would have taken the time to update the video in which he shows that what he was trying to do works and or show what the problem was, we're now left with having to assume that it should work as expected. Other than this the course has been very informative. Update: Passed the exam using this course in combination with Measure up practice test and reading up on some of the subjects on Technet and Blogs

Great content and explanations but would appreciate how to prepare for the exam itself - what questions are being asked, methods and so on. Also there is some outdated content - minimal but when asked at the exam, it can make a big difference

This course closely parallels the Microsoft study guide for the 70-744 course. The two complement each other. The video course is a little but lighter on details than the study guide, so I wouldn't rely on just th video to prepare for the exam. I've found the video to make an excellent introduction to the examination objectives. Once I've been through a chapter in the video course, I hit the printed material to reinforce and expand on the material covered in the video. I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about my chances of passing the exam in a few weeks, and this course is part of the reason why.

VERY detailed so far, and after the 1st module you can go into a work environment and start from what you learned.
