I found the content boring and not creative at all as a marketing it's good but in melt and pour making soap it wasn't as expected for me specially that's what I was looking for
It is good course - basic to know about Melt & Pour Soap Making. Bonus to learned Business Marketing as well. Phillip is generous sharing his knowledge and experiences. I like the assignments that he wanted us to do. It is such a joyful course!
I found out very interesting & will take on board the website. i may need to keep coming back to Phil for more questions.
All was good with it but things need to bit more simple like if we don't have rubbing alcohol alternative method, varities we can make, how we can make innovative soap color usage properly needed to be described.
I am a beginner and really wanted more of the making soap part of it for now. But I am glad because I am learning the marketing as well.
Perfect, am amazed. Teaching us how to make a business plan, logo, marketing and all that.. wow am so greatful.
It matched my basic expectations about soap making.!! Try to make it more interesting marketing part. Include more about soap making ingredients( if possible)
The basics of business and marketing were very well explained. Loved the fact that the instructor also gave us a few recipes we can try out at home. I just wish there was a brief lesson on how we could price each soap, and budget the bulk purchases of ingredients to start off our business (that way we know how to properly plan.. or too high prices will defer customers, and too low prices will cause a loss)
i have tried different variations of melt and pour soaps and i will try out yr tips and receipes too....was great and knowledgable
I really was bored much of the time because I thought we would be talking about soap and making it into a business. Not about your obvious passion for graphics. Your illustrations in the various graphic programs should have been about soap. Not airplanes or other items. Much of what you taught I will never use in my soap business and really thought this would be more informative on the business side. I really took nothing away from this class other than I think Canva is a cool program and there might be some use for it down the road. If you ever revamp this class, make it more about soap in your graphics and not just random things.
There were a few things in this course that I hadn't thought about. Good ideas. However, there was no audio on section 6, and I need audio. So I dropped down to Average/Good. Definitely worth my time, but I was expecting some info on business plans, and the other resources, maybe using quicken books or some such spreadsheet tool.
I started the course hoping to learn how to make soap at home. I didn't think there were so many exhaustive explanations on some free (and non-free) tools to create images, videos, websites in which to sell soap and quite useful resources. Although I already have skills in sales, marketing and know how to use Illustrator / Photoshop, I appreciated it.
I love the course content I just hate that there are some things that I automatically need a desktop for.
Concise, with lots of good ideas and somewhere to start. It can be expanded to other products, being the soap-making only an excuse to create a new low-cost business.
