"...Thank you for the awesome FREE course, it is outstanding!"

"... a brilliant intro to neuroscience..."

"... a wealth of information, good solid course to have."

"... I never looked at my brain from this perspective"

Yes, you just found the number 1 free personal development course on Udemy (out of over 280). Well done!

So what makes this one so special?

You probably heard about the 'right brain - left brain' theory. Well, forget everything about it. It's just not true. Recent studies show reality is far more complex and nuanced than that.

The NBA (or Neurocognitive and Behavioral Approach) is a fascinating, innovative and multi-disciplinary approach born out of 25 years of scientific research. Discover how 4 brain structures are responsible for all of our decisions and internal conflicts.

Once you learn to recognize what part of your brain is active, you start looking at the world from a totally different point of view. A lot of things start to make sense.

What to expect...

This high quality course will walk you through the different brain structures, breaking down complex theories into easy to digest chunks of information. The narrative style is humorous, without overdoing it, as not to overshadow the fascinating content being conveyed. The course is well paced, with closed captions (subtitles) enabled for greater ease.

It's really a no-brainer to follow this course. Or as several students stated (scroll down and check the reviews below): "... Everybody should take this..."

This course is an introduction to the NBA. For a more advanced course, please check 'Master your brain', 'The Science of Leadership' or 'Neuroscience for Parents' available here on Udemy.

Insightful topical beginning to the four brain structures and how they control/contribute to our daily emotions and decisions. Neuroplasticity, Daniel Kahneman Thinking to Slow to Go Fast, and Martin Seligman's Learned Optimism are all future explorations; this course has led me to enhance my understanding of the NBA (Neurocognitive Behavioral Approach).

This is the first Udemy course I actually completed. The content is very valuable, make sure to take notes in section 2 to really engrain the information into you head. Sometimes I'd watch the parts multiple times to really grasp the ideas. I highly recommend this to anyone reading and could see myself recommending this to people I know as well.

a good course, giving introduction to how the brain works, although not much detail, it's good in it's own way of introducing us to the concepts

Yes. I am happy I chose to opt for this course. Knowing the brain in this fashion is very intriguing. One can use this information to understand the key factors that determine our personality. We can evaluate our own emotions and keep them under our control by knowing the trigger points. Brain is a complex structure but it becomes easier if we know which part signifies what structural and functional aspect.

Clear, concise and easy to listen to. The sense of authority in this field is clear. I took this mini course to decide whether I would take more courses by this lecturer, and I will definitely be doing so.

A good free base course to get, it gives you an idea on how your brains works and opens up an interest on neuroscience.

So far, perfect. I loved the way the instructor explained in a way that he confessed we don't yet know anything.

Good Valuable information I stumbled upon, I Have an interest in human behavior and health, casually looking for a good read or study and found this short course on neuroscience gave it a shot and found it intriguing and enlightening, debunks some common myths and gives some fine education about brain structures and how each one effects our behavior, had a decent amount of good humor which didn't hurt, and the bonus interview was nice to watch and a good book suggestion in there didn't hurt as well, thanks, want to see more, nice introduction that gives u a little more.

I am leaving this rating as it is a nice, simple explanation of the parts of the brains and the repercussions of neuropathology-essentially for the layman or dummies. (People with no medical background) Explanation of science should intrinsically be partial, non-judgemental and agnostic or atheistic.
