Summary: Good basic introduction, needs maintained to ensure no files are missing from download. This was a good introduction to using Matlab for image processing. I had used Matlab many years ago but had no experience of image processing. The instructor provided useful information and worked examples to give confidence in the basics of image processing in Matlab. I would have liked some more information on how some of the later algorithms worked (e.g. active contour and CascadeObjectDetector), as well as details of the Image Processing toolbox in Matlab, but that's maybe for an advanced course. I was a bit disappointed when the end of module task, labelling faces in an image, just involved half a dozen lines of code which called a builtin function that detected faces. The biggest area of concern is that many of the image and video files are missing from the download content, as the course does not seem to be maintained. A little bit of house keeping would be appreciated.

It is very basic course if you want to learn how to apply some image processing Matlab function you can take this course but do not expect much from this course. You will learn just how to use some function in Matlab but you will not learn what is the consept that is lying under that operation.So I do not recommend you to take it.
