What you will learn

This course is meant for absolute beginners in programming or in python. No prior knowledge about any programming language.

Description

What is Python?

Python is a popular programming language. It was created in 1991 by "Guido van Rossum".

It is used for:

  1. web development (server-side),

  2. software development,

  3. mathematics purpose,

  4. system scripting.

What can Python do?

  1. Can be used alongside software to create workflows.

  2. Can be used on a server to create web applications.

  3. can connect to database systems. It can also read and modify files.

  4. Can be used to handle big data and perform complex mathematics.

  5. Can be used for rapid prototyping, or for production-ready software development.

Why Python?

  1. it works on different platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc).

  2. Has a simple syntax similar to the English language.

  3. Has syntax that allows developers to write programs with fewer lines than some other programming languages.

  4. Runs on an interpreter system, meaning that code can be executed as soon as it is written. This means that prototyping can be very quick.

  5. Can be treated in a procedural way, an object-orientated way or a functional way.

Good to know

  • The most recent major version of Python is Python 3, which we shall be using in this tutorial.

  • In this tutorial Python will be written in a text editor. It is possible to write Python in an Integrated Development Environment, such as Thonny, Pycharm, Netbeans or Eclipse which are particularly useful when managing larger collections of Python files.

Python Syntax compared to other programming languages

  • Designed to for readability, and has some similarities to the English language with influence from mathematics.

  • Uses new lines to complete a command, as opposed to other programming languages which often use semicolons or parentheses.

  • Relies on indentation, using whitespace, to define scope; such as the scope of loops, functions and classes. Other programming languages often use curly-brackets for this purpose.

Thanks,

Arun Ammasai

Die Ton Qualität ist schlecht und auch scheint dies alles eher unvorbereitet zu sein. Man bekommt aber bisher einen guten Einstieg, wenn man Python vorher noch nie gesehen hat.

Poor English, Poor teaching ability, I learned nothing from Methods or Functions and Class and OOPS, It was not even a worth of time, however the courses up to section 8 are fine acceptable, but I guess youtube videos are better than this, investing money isn't worth in this.

Preparation appeared to be lacking, various grammatical errors. Author should have reviewed each lesson and re-recorded. Good for basics and beginner. Not much further than introduction to the general syntax available. Would recommend having a slide that has the method or topic of video described before switching to the code console.

The course is surely beginners friendly but me as a beginner, found some of the concepts hard to grasp. Secondly, I found many grammatical errors in the speech, which created confusions. To be honest, after completing the course, I believe I didn't get sufficient knowledge, and it would have been better if there were more practical work. Even the tutor himself was not perfect because he made several silly mistakes in the programming throughout the course. I don't know if all the programmers do so or not. So, decide for yourself whether to opt for this course or not.

The audio is terrible, everything else is great but the wind noise blows my ears and makes the lessons unwatchable

Creo que el tema de herencia no ha quedado 100% claro, por lo demás genial! Hubiera agradecido subtítulos de inglés, ya que los predefinidos dejan muchos que desear. Pero estoy muy satisfecho con este curso, muchas gracias! :)

Sometimes the code on the screen is in very small letters and this makes it difficult to read. The instructor has a strong accent, which makes it difficult for people who are not native speakers of English. Even automatic subtitles cannot understand what the instructor is saying.

I think "from Zero to Hero" doesn't really defined this course, it is good for beginners, but that's it. Sounds quality its a bit poor but it is a nice course if you are starting to learn the basics.

well, it's pretty much no different to YouTube. like I was expecting some practical exercises or something so you can practice or something, however, it's pretty much like: "here's my video, follow what I do, go practice your own or whatever and stay tuned for my next video"

Até o momento muito parado apesar do instrutor explicar algumas coisas, mas mesmo assim muito ruim. Essa primeira aula deu sono. O curso em si dá um sono e tanto. Eu fico pescando de tanto sono. Curso ruim, muito ruim!

Course explanation is good. If explain with more example with real time scenarios, that would be good . Thank you.

You don't know the language properly and besides you do very rudimentary mistakes. When you see error, you always change some [] to () because you don't remember the syntax properly.
