What you will learn

Ready to face interviews for advance file processing

Ready to process complex files using these commands

Description

Pgawk is the profiling version of gawk.  It is identical in  every  way

to  gawk,  except  that  programs run more slowly, and it automatically
produces an execution profile in the file awkprof.out when  done.   See
       the --profile option, below.

The  command  line  consists of options to gawk itself, the AWK program
text (if not supplied via the -f or --file options), and values  to  be
made available in the ARGC and ARGV pre-defined AWK variables.

Here we are going to cover

       CSV file processing using AWK

      Data Filtering using AWK

      Data Management using AWK

      Update and Delete Data

      Monitor Data

      Select specific data

      Select data after processing

Lesson 2 and 3 are not correctly. Arguments are much different from title. In lessons 2 and 3 teacher do not speak about AWK ... In lesson 20 the example store command result into file as display in previous lessons, not in a variable how write in title.

I expected a expert level AWK training. This training is for beginners. It is misguiding people. The topic name should be changed.

The 2nd & 3rd sessions are not about awk. The heading says something and video talks about something else (not related to awk) like how to execute a shell script, how to use more command etc.. no course material. You can skip first few minutes of every video as they are repetitive. This course explains basic use of awk. However I like this as a single video for beginners. One can avoid browsing youtube

The lectures are good in general but a very basic course. I found I do absorb what has been taught incrementally. I was hoping for a more in depth and practical course.
