Description

Review:

"The knowledge of the teacher is impressive, and he knows how to teach. The speed of the course is just right. And going thru the exercises after each one is great. I only have one word for the teacher and the way he's presenting the course WOW!!!" -- Daniel Sandberg

This course covers one of the most useful, but scariest-sounding, functions in Microsoft Excel; PIVOT TABLES.

It sounds difficult, but in fact can be done in just a few clicks. We'll do our first one in a couple of minutes - that's all it takes. We'll also add a chart as well in that time.

After only these first few minutes, you will be streets ahead of anyone who doesn't know anything about Pivot Tables - it is really that important.

After this introduction, we'll go into some detail into how to set up your Pivot Table - the initial data, and the various options that are available to you. We will go into advanced options that most people don't even know about, but which are very useful.

By the end, you will be an Expert user of Pivot Tables, able to create reliable analyses which are able to be drilled-down quickly, and you'll be able to help others with their data analysis.

There was some good information in the video, but just not a lot of relevant information for me at this point in my Excel use.

I like that he included a pivot table worksheet to practice with while he is demonstrating. I was following him to see if I would get the same results. So far, pivot tables are easy.

Very insightful and education course on pivot tables. I enjoyed seeing how dynamic and creative one can be with pivot tables and how easy it is to summarize data and activate a timeline to summarize data within a prescribed window of time.

This is my second course with this instructor, and I'm pleased again at the structure and information. I find the instructor to have a clear and engaging voice and style, and a good sense of humor. I find he occasionally goes down ratholes - for example on how to avoid specific things that irritate him, but may not irritate the student - but this is a minor quibble. Overall the course is excellent value for cost.

I really like the way the instructor dives into the details and really tells us exactly what every little button or feature does. It is a really in-depth learning and that works very well for me!

I passed the Expert exam. Mr. Burton's courses were very helpful in my achieving that goal. I hope he will publish more Excel Courses about data analysis related functions. Excel is deep.

Whilst I have previously created them, I didn't know that there was such depth to Pivot Tables. The curriculum was very comprehensive, and I liked doing the Practice Tests - I have learned a lot from it.
