Description

The Bey Atelier in Baroque Drawing is an artistic experience that will take student back to the 17th century where you will learn - together with Baudilio Bey- the secrets of artistic drawing in the greatest of the classical ages of art. Step by step you will discover the power of angles tecnique and its relationship with drawing lines. A technique used by the great baroque masters (Rembrandt, Caravaggio, and Claudio de Lorraine) to draw anything around and turn it into a masterpiece. This experience will allow students not only to learn about this extraordinary drawing technique, but also how important is telling stories through lines, shadows and strokes. On the other hand, this master course in drawing is a unique learning  experience, enginered using storytelling. The main goal is immersing students in the environment of the 17th century so they can turn into a protagonists of the baroque itself.

SECOND VOLUME

In Volume 2 of the Bey Atelier on Baroque Drawing we will tackle the full-length portrait drawing by using as a mean of inspiration the work of the greatest of masters, CARAVAGGIO. Students will know his life and legacy to learn how his turbulent life stimulated the development of his extraordinary paintings. From here, students will learn from an analytical and schematic point of view to understand the human body and its gender differences. Through practical exercises students will approach the construction of the body by using the angle tecnique.

In this Volume 2, we will create two live full-length portraits, to develop all the knowledge learned not only in this Volume 2 but also in volume 1 of the Bey Atelier in Baroque Drawing. The most important thing about this second volume is that, students will enrich the live drawing exercises by learning to draw fabrics, shiny objects, still lifes and elements close to the human body. Students will understand the space where our character is located; In addition students will learn to add creative elements to drawings to tell a story and really turn it into a masterpiece.

"This course is designed with a special methodology developed at the Autonomous University of Barcelona as part of a final Master's thesis with honorable mention. It is an honor for me to be able to share this new experience of teaching an ancient art such as drawing."

Again, another brilliantly made course. I don't draw in the style show. What the course does is improve the approach to drawing and my drawings have improved after watching both parts 1 and 2. Onwards to 3. Jim.
