This is definitely one of the best courses I have ever taken on Udemy. What I like the most is that we have many opportunities to create maps ourselves than just listen to lectures. Additionally, Alasdair, the instructor, gives us concrete feedback of our outputs, which is really helpful. This is a perfect course for those who already know QGIS. If not, I'd recommend "Map Academy: get mapping quickly, with QGIS", an introductory course and another masterpiece for QGIS beginners.

First, if I'm being honest, there's some overlap with the first part of the GIS series. So you might find yourself practicing things you've seen previously, though for me it was good exercise. Second, this course is expression heavy. "Which is fine." -A I'm very happy to be working through this with the assistance of AI for double-checking my programming and tutoring me through it. I'm confident that I have a solid base from which to grow which is what I came for. In his final words of the course is some fantastic parting advice; "...it can be a bit fiddly sometimes but that's okay. Just mess around a bit on your own and you'll get the hang of it." -undertheraedar

The course is very well explained and the video editing is very good. It is aimed especially at those who want to make maps that look good. I'd love to see another course this time focused on spatial databases (selecting and editing data by expressions, joins, table relations, etc.), with the same high quality explanations.

I'm a GIS professional and Python programmer almost 7 years now. I'm used to work more Esri stuff. I'm migrating more to the opensource world and this course expanded my horizons and made me much more confident about what I can do with this amazing artpiece of software! Alasdair, our instructor, is super professional and knows heck a lot of QGIS and open source stuff related to GIS. The course itself is very progressive, and he shows mindblowing things at the end, such as the "Sunshine Hours" Atlas... it can be used for so many different situations and context! Just Perfect!
