In this course I cover the theory and the creative process of logo design from the first client brief through finding ideas and creating sketches, until the presentation of the final design to the client. According to this, half of the course is about logo design theory and process, the other half is about designing logos in Inkscape - with all the practical tips I can give.
Starting the course you also get my logo design book titled Studylogo. It is a 70 pages long e-book about logo design theory. It covers a bit more what is in the course, and gives a great overview about the topic.

the course is very good. it is easy to follow and it shows the whole process of logo design very well. it doesnt teach many of the basics of inkscape however the way he shows his process and the basics to logo design is very informative and helpful

A lot of good information, rules and ideas. Only problem I had was the sound quality was muffled, not clear and sharp like the other courses I took, Inkscape Beginners and Intermediate. Otherwise very informative, thanks.

I have always struggled with graphic design and usually pay for my logos and other graphic work for my web based projects. This course has really filled in a lot of what I was missing in terms of the know how to do some of my own work. Can't wait to try this new found knowledge out and see what I can do.

Fantastic course. I grabbed it for free and it was a real score. Very good content about logo design. The audio is super compressed. But the content is very valuable and not terribly distracting. Well worth it. And thanks!

Greta information on the creative process. I had several problems with audio volume on 2 different computers. Maybe the videos can be remastered so the volume is all good quality and the same volume.

I consider myself to be the least artistic person in the world. Istvan is able to de-construct concepts in an easy to understand manner and illustrate them in the course. I've already taken his "Learn Inkscape Now" beginner's course before starting this course. It helps to have some background knowledge of Inkscape before taking this course so it would be easier to follow along when he's designing the log, but it's not mandatory to just learn logo design concepts.

This is more about logo philosophy than the mechanics of using Inkscape. The information is good, but not what I was looking for.

A good bit of information here if you have a basic understanding of Inkscape. A lot of theory (good source of knowledge) goes into the course and the instructor is very clear about what and why he is doing it. If however like me you were hoping to learn some new tricks (Intermediate/advanced level of experience) you may feel like the course is a little barebones.

Excellent communication skills and excellent material. The Inkscape tips and tricks was worth the price alone not to mention the mental shift that occurred while watching the presenter design. The audio could have been a bit higher quality but that is a very minor issue.

If you don't already have a good handle on Inkscape, this is not where you want to start. If you know the software and would like to try to be a logo designer, this course is a must-have. His ideas and his presentations are very inspiring. Skip buying a book on how to design logos and just take this course.

I know István's contents since time ago and i have to say he has very good inkscape tutorials. He is a master with this tool and i think this is a good course. After watching the contents i have to say i would expect more in terms on how to prepare the logo for specific tasks like pantone inks printing. ..or How to make trapping or more advanced features related with final print. Also more information obout when we have to register the logos and how would be apreciated. So if you want introduce yourself into Logo design is a basic course covering everything in a basic way.

Well made course, this guy know what he's doing when it comes to design and using Inkscape. The course lays out a good process for how to create a logo and then present it to the customer. It's really invaluable to see how a designer thinks when going through all stages of the creation process.

helped me alot in basics of idea hunting for logo plus choosing the right color and finally how to present the final product however you skipped how to make the shapes from scrath and didit with shortcuts that i don't know (first time with inkspace) .

Some of the lessons were hard to hear, however don't let that stop you at all, this course is taught by an instructor who really knows what he's talking about! I was able to use his infomation successfully to build a logo for a friend and seriously it was INVALUABLE! His examples and concepts are VERY well done and the results just look amazing! This wouldn't be a beginners course however as you really need to know Inkscape (Which I do). I'd recommend this if you already know how to use inkscape, IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT!
