Description

Listening Skills are the quiet soft skills sauce that can make or break a career. Have you ever had a client, customer, boss or colleague have to repeat things to you several times? Or look at you as if they weren't sure you were understanding them, or even paying attention?

The ultimate form of respect you can give anyone in the workplace is listening to them. Strong listening skills seem easy and commonplace, but they are actually rare in most workplaces. Communications expert TJ Walker will teach you step-by-step how to build, strengthen and master excellent listening skills in this course.

"Listening skills are the bedrock of all communication and are the basis of all success in the workplace. I have devoted the last 30 years of my life traveling the globe to teach strong listening and communication skills to people of every continent. Now, I am happy to be teaching and coaching you." TJ Walker

Here is what Udemy students say about this course

"This course is truly a life-changer. My only goal in the beginning was to eliminate the verbal tics (uh, er..umm). I succeed in this goal after 4 months of multiple practices and started to explore other great tips of listening skills, which not only improved my relationship with team members but also beloved people (especially during the lockdown when everyone was stressed and overwhelmed) Why I recommend this course: 1. Each video is short (most of them are 1-4 mins long) and focused on one subject. Perfect for busy people who have very little spare time for self improvement. 2. You don't have to start from chapter 1 to understand the rest of curriculums. I went to the topic that I care about the most first then explored other subjects later. 3. No jargons and every word is enunciated, super friendly for non English native speakers." Nicole Spurrell

"it was awesome experience for me to listen to the concepts" Charanjeetsingh DadiyalUpdated

Really long monolouge of a single guy for 29h! Most of the topics were treated poorly and with a lot of stereotypycal answers. This course could have been done way better for way less time. Bored to the bone.... 3 stars only because I learnt how not to make a udemy course.

Looks like it's the right start for me. I will see how it goes for the rest of the session. My main issue is the urge to speak and that's what I am trying to deal with here. The course looks promising so far.

The course is extremely long and the Listening Section is just a super small portion of the whole course. Besides that, there are too many redundant ideas and that makes the course boring!

Wow, so much great stuff. This is definitely a course I can come back to again and again for reference and try to master these new skills. The instructor is very passionate about getting his teaching points across for almost every lesson. Definitely a 5 Star Course.

I get really frustrated when I feel like people aren't listening to me, and I'm sure they feel the same when there's times my mind is racing and I'm guilty of not giving them my undivided attention so this course applies to everyone!

Presentation is very good. It makes me to pay my entire attention to the course and it's practical to the real day to day office. Thank you

M
Michelle23 July 2019

The tips to me seem pretty standard and common sense. I'm looking for more of effective listening as in you understand the speaker and the speaker understands you without having to reexplain or go further in explanation than. needed to. I'm not done with the course so hopefully I find this.
