I enjoyed this course. I've been using Lightroom for years, but from a total novice perspective, using mostly presets. I plan to do an in depth course but wanted to start with some basics because I suspected I was missing some very basic work flow concepts. This showed me some great short cuts, some features I didn't know existed, and was easy to follow and informative. The only criticism I have is too much time was spent on the import methods copy/add/move. It was a simple concept but took a long time to cover and I thought that was unnecessary.

1. I recommend this course especially to people who have already started using Photoshop but didn't have the time to take a look at Lightroom yet. It's not very long, one evening is enough to finish it and know the important things: interface, modules, shortcuts. 2. I liked the part about the structure of files and how the package sees the data in general. There's also this tip on how to build your folder structure at the beginning of using the program so as to avoid problems in the future. 3. There are a couple of exercises on post-processing images. Lr has great functionalities, including hand-painted masks. I love "Adjust HSL by dragging in the photo" tool. 4. PS. If you're using Windows version of the package and you can't find "Lightroom" menu, the options in Windows are in "Edit" menu (Edit: Catalog Settings...; Edit: Preferences...: Presets: Show Lightroom presets folder).

As a beginner, the course explained the tools available in Lightroom and give examples of when and how to use them to get the full benefits. I do wish that the actual editing section was much long with more detailed examples. Overall, the course is good value for money and can be used as a reference for learning about tool available in Lightroom.

I thought I was already familiar with Lightroom but I'm learning new things in this course that weren't in previous courses I've taken.

I'm working with LR since a few years. But it is interesting to learn more - and you always can learn more in Lightroom! Sometimes it was a little bit difficult to understand Kasia because my first language is German. LR is such a powerful tool for editing pictures - I love it! Thanks for this course! Great information but a bit too long winded in the beginning. Lecture 22. which contains a photo to follow your instructions was amazing - more of that, please! :-)

I wish I had seen this course before starting to use lightroom as it would have saved me a load of grief with losing 2 lots of photos. I was on the point of not using lightroom again, but Kasia goes through how to set up everything to protect your photos and loads more. A big thank you to Kasia, as I now feel a lot more confident with Lightroom.

The course provides what was described - an introduction to Lightroom and its various features. The level is indicated as beginner and that is exactly what you get - if you are new to Lightroom and are overwhelmed with the various options and things, this will certainly bring you quite a bit of clarity. I would have preferred some more material on the organisational side of the program - some greater detail on collections, stacks and things like that. Nevertheless, the introduction does at least provide a basis on which to find further information online. Although I had no problem, it must be mentioned that the presenter has a strong accent. If English is your secondary language and you have limited ability therein, you may find it hard to follow. Of course watching some of the previews should be sufficient to determine whether this will be an issue. Conclusion: - Recommended if you are entirely new to Lightroom. - If you have some experience of Lightroom, the course will be of limited to no utility (which is to be expected given the beginner level and crash course description).

I'm a beginner photographer and I did't know Lightroom at all. This course was very clear and helpful and I recommend it to anybody.

Four and one half stars. Excellent course as per the "colouring of black and white photographs" course (please see my other review), just lost half a star this time as in a few places (and only a few places) the pace was a little too fast for me.
