This course builds on the Level 1 Intelligence Analyst Certification course for descriptive analysis. One cannot explain why events occurred, if one does not first know what events occurred. Explanative intelligence interprets current events. It seeks to explain an adversary’s behavior, answer the question “why,” and establish causal relationships. Thus, students in this course should hold a Level 1 certification and be experienced descriptive intelligence analysts. Likewise, as the graduates of the Level 2 course gain experience and expertise they become ready for the Level 3 course and are ready to produce predictive intelligence analysis.

I have been always using the Pros and Cons methods but it is the first time I know about the Pros, Cons and Fixes. Its nice when we can develop more critical thinking to the next level. One comment I would say is the course can be more understanding if you can summarize the main point at the end or at the beginning of the lesson.

Anyone looking to develop an analytical mindset or their critical thinking skills should take this course regardless of their field. Also, the music issue mentioned in previous reviews seems to have been fixed.

The course information, exercises and instruction are great. The only minor complaint is that for lessons 2-3 the voice of the instructor was really low and the sound of the music in between exercises way too loud in comparison (I had my volume on 100 and could barely hear the instructor). Anyway, just a minor volume issue not present in the first lesson or the Level 1 course.

Reading your text while not watching the camera is disturbing. Either put your prompter closer to the camera, or even better if your just reading anyway, don't show yourself, just voice over the slides.

why is the music so loud??!?! if you're wearing headphones or trying to listen in a quiet area you have to crank the volume very high to hear him then immediately press fast forward button otherwise you get blasted with really loud music every time he asks you to pause the video. It's really frustrating.
