What you will learn

You will be closer to understanding FUNK music and able to create your own FUNK.

Why take this course?

This course you learn how to create a Funk bass line, keyboard parts, Drum parts and extras.  Everything that goes into making funk music. It's really not that hard but if you've taken the free music reading course you can apply what learned to any style of music.  You will also be able to write down what you create and give it to any music reading musician to play.  Learning to read and write music really means it's a universal language.

The author is quite ambiguous in explaining his stuff. But if you apply a little thinking, you can extract some core principles. Also the coolest sounding bits are not explained at all. But you can slow down the video, detect what he is playing and analyze it yourself. It has a couple of interesting funky synth bass patterns.

a bit too surface level. Would have loved to go a bit deeper on the theory and placement of notes. Feel and vibe is a thing but understanding what's behind it and how it works is even better.

It's some like experiences rather than a tutorial for beginners,Surely you learn something but it's not what I expected.Probably better for some guys who already get into funk.

Great Course; I'm very satisfied to have had the chance to learn these tricks of the trade from Mr. Jacobs. Truly a wonder for those wanting to make funk in general and especially g-funk. I suppose G-Funk was never the reason for this course; But it teaches the method. - Le Attol EDIT: My critique (though a perfect score) is that Cori should make His own takes on the videos which He links to. It would be relevant to see Him breaking down the same methods in greater depth which He makes reference to.
