For maximum awesomeness... this course will reference a number of third party products, a couple of books, etc. I make NO money in these references. You will be required to input your personal information to get this free software.

I'm new to filemaker but not to relational databases. So far this has been very helpful since it's been close to 20 years since I worked on databases and now finding myself back into it.

Everything is superficial all the teacher does is talk about his own product that he made ie. FMstarting point and he also congratulate himself when he agrees with another senior FMP developer all while not really teaching the students about concrete naming conventions and concrete methodology in making a FMP solution.
Would recommend another course maybe read a book about FMP because learning on a video format is not ideal.

Yes, I think so. I'm a so called code-monkey :-) who are aiming to fill all the knowledge gaps from all years of (so to speak) "cheating" with FM doing a few things here and there. FM has become a really advanced platform nowadays, making it really interesting to learn it from top to bottom! Might go forward after taking this course and try to become certified :-)

As an experienced and certified FileMaker developer, I found this course to be packed with excellent real word advice. There were some specific anomalies of the platform presented that I had never heard before (such as using the original table occurrence as the anchor in ancho-buoy will provide better performance).
I have been using this course as a refresher in preparation for the FileMaker 17 certification exam. Although there are some areas that were not covered in detail (ESS, ExecuteSQL, etc.), it provides a good amount of material that will be covered on the certification exam.
For new FileMaker developers, I feel this course is a must. It provides real world experience, that would normally take years to acquire, in around 60 hours. There is material in this course, especially related to developing efficient high performance solutions, that is not found in FileMaker’s documentation or other training courses.
Thanks Richard for the hard work that went into developing such a valuable resource for the FileMaker platform, that is applicable to both novice and expert developers.

All great, and love the course. There is an area I believe which is not covered that needs to be covered e.g. Comments regarding using Card Windows extensively, and changing FM Starting Point to take advantage of this feature ignores how Web Direct does not render card windows the same, and almost makes them useless.
