Description

Welcome to my fast-paced, focused git course.

  • Do you want to learn git?
  • Do you want to contribute to other people's projects on Github?
  • Do you want to share your projects with others?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this git course is perfect for you!

In this course, we will go through everything you need to know to use git and GitHub to manage your projects.

We will create a test project and go over everything from installing git, git branches to uploading to GitHub.

This course is incredibly fast paced (hence the smaller length). You will get up and running with git in minutes. Why waste your time listening to long lectures about things you will never use when you could instead take a shorter, more focused git course, and learn what you need to learn a lot quicker? This git course is unlike any other, you will learn what git commands you need to quickly.

You will also learn how to integrate git with Github so that you can share your git projects with millions.

Git used to intimidate me. I did not want to memorize tons of git commands and I was scared I would mess up my projects. Luckily, I got over those challenges and created the perfect git course, that takes the fast learning approach that has made my other courses successful. If you feel like you are in the situation I was in, this course is for you.

In conclusion, if you want a focused, fast-paced course that will get you up and running with git and GitHub in minutes, then Learn Git: Everything You Need To Know is the course you've been looking for.

First of all, the context is that it is a free tutorial, so keep that in mind. Nonetheless, I found it really good. It is quick, it is relatively thorough for basic needs, end it is very well explained. I'm not sure it's for total beginners, but if you have a few notions about Git and want to be more confident about how you use it for your simple projects, I think it's perfect. And don't forget it's free, so why not try yourself ?

this showed us as homework for my intro to scripting class, 1st year college. from video 4 alone I sent my teacher 3 images and 5 paragraphs of "please explain where/how..." it wasn't clear if they were in git, github, gitkraken, or other. they were working in their "my project" but didn't show how to make it or how to connect it or explain that it's somehow already connected, or if that project was in the git program they were using or as a local on the computer. I tried to follow along and do the "git init," "git status" and "git add" and they gave me errors, and I'm not surprised because he basically is explaining this to people who already know how to do this. If I knew about all this stuff, I'd go practice instead of wasting my time going over it again.

not so detailed, one has to play a lot in the background with git in order to understand how it works.

This was perfect for me. I am a total beginner in programming, but I have been self-teaching so I already knew the context of Git & GitHub, I just needed to know the commands/steps, or *instructions*, if you will, on how to create & upload projects. This was very short and sweet with the perfect layout to get started quickly.

OK. Short and condensed course for those, who wants to get fast start with Git. But there is few things, that have to be learned to master with Git.

sembra competante e soprattutto pratico, una cosa che migliorerei è la visualizzazione del terminal, deve essere piu grande ed il cursore non deve stare alla fine dello schermo ma alla fine.

This course was a decent introduction to git and was worth spending the hour or so it took to take. I do wish it had contained more content on using Github

Wish there was more info on .gitignore. It kept showing up on my github repository unlike in the video. That was the only issue.

It went over basic git commands, but did not leave me able to use git on my own to make changes to a repository. It could have been better and allowed information on how to collaborate with others on github using the command line.
