taking time to explain how letters are pronounced is key because it goes a long way in effective communication based on what you hear and how to respond.

The teacher NEEDS to talk louder. I can't even hear properly even on full volume. Also, every class doesn't make sense at all, it skips from this topic to another. All it teaches are on the online textbook(textbook made from this class), and on the resources on there are from youtube tutorials. This is totally a waste of money.

I was disappointed after purchase to learn that this was to be a Flemish course. I was chose a couple courses to buy to help with my Dutch language prior to our move to the Netherlands. Even as a novice, I can hear differences that are not helping me with understanding the language as it's used in North Holland. Otherwise, I found the first courses started off well, really went through the pronunciations and introduction nicely. I might give it a shot later to broaden my understanding more than deepen it. Thanks

It's a very nice intro. At first it seems that there's too much English and that the course will not amount to a lot, but by sections 9-10 or so, you realise that you're able to understand quite a bit. That said, I think that there should be a lesson on separable verbs. I got them because I know some German, but I'm not sure I would have understood them from the explanation alone.

Generally, course is good for people just decided to learn Dutch. However, it would be better if the instructor gives visual exercises instead of multi-choice questions. Unfortunately those kind of exercises do not facilitate learning.
