This course gives me exactly what I have been looking for: extended, granular lectures on the application of value investing principles **in the 21st century**. The foundational texts of the field (Security Analysis; The Intelligent Investor) are excellent for providing a philosophical framework, but at nearly a century old, they prove difficult to apply in 2023 after almost 100 years of advancements in business, finance, tech, accounting, and law. Most other courses in value investing are either high level surveys or otherwise seem to assume far too much foundational knowledge. With in depth explanations of financial statements, formulas, and deep coverage of qualitative evaluation, this course has given me what I need to be able to confidently evaluate a business on my own. As someone who loves to learn and do things on their own, I couldn’t be happier with the course so far.

Perfect! Candi's explanations are detailed, with each "test" and concept illustrated empirically. The course is comprehensive, covering a wealth of tests. Even though you might/will be familiar with many of those tests and ratios discussed here, Candi's explanations will give you additional insights that you won't find in the internet. More amazingly, Candi started this course in 2019 and it is now in it's 8th edition. This means that the course is being actively and routinely updated (new videos!!!) constantly. For instance, in 2023 I was listening to Candi discussing 2023 stuff (such as the war in Ukraine, high inflation, etc). Highly recommended.

Excellent course. I have come to this course after reading the various recommended books on value investing and I still was unsure how to tackle value investing. This course has put all those books into perspective and also made them make more sense with a solid model of tackling companies and getting an intrinsic value from them. I love the examples and more company analysis would be welcomed. The important part is how to research the sector and its linked sectors and I wish one day there is a course on that. Truly grateful this course existed.

- A course easy to understand even for someone completely new to investing in stocks. - Better to have at least basic knowledge about company financials. - - Good cookbook teaching students step by step how to assess particular stock (general principles are nice but the key for me is to understand how to apply them). - I appreciate also practical examples (I would like to see more examples to some topics) - I would recommend to follow also other courses of Candi (such as Company Valuation, Cost of Capital, Discounted Cash Flow&Free Cash Flow) that I consider to be complementary to this course

Will provide an in depth knowledge about what to look for in balance sheets, income statements etc. If you wish to gain a deeper understanding of value investing, this is your best bet. Very thorough walk through of everything you should take into consideration, before investing any money in the stock market. Great value for money.

Too much theory without real examples. There is no example of a good company to invest in. There is an example of how not to invest. I would like to see a company to invest in as well.
