Do you know that psychology impacts every aspect of your life?

Psychology can answer basic and complex questions such as:

Why do people think and act the way they do?

Why are some people miserable and others happy for no reason?

How does the human mind work, how do we learn, and how does memory work?

Why does society and the media have so much influence on people?

We’ll cover all of this and more in this Introduction to Psychology course!

The key to unlocking success and happiness in life is UNDERSTANDING YOURSELF—including why you think, feel and act the way you do. The best way to learn about yourself is to understand psychology and then apply it to your own life. In fact, most people who enter the psychology field are initially drawn to it out of an interest in understanding and improving themselves.

Most of human behavior and experience takes place unconsciously, meaning we aren’t aware of WHY we feel or act the way we do. By learning what psychology is and how the human mind works, we become CONSCIOUS of what is taking place INSIDE of us and how this influences what we experience in life. This course teaches the foundation of psychology and provides a framework for understanding yourself AND human behavior in general.

Here’s what you will learn in this Psychology course:

·        Learn how the human mind works and how you can use the power of your mind to your advantage

·        Learn the reasons you think, feel and act the way you do, as well as understand other people better

·        Explore different approaches to psychology and how research is conducted

·        Learn about how our senses interact with our brain and how this influences how we perceive the world around us

·        Find out if you are right brain or left brain dominant and what that means

·        Develop an understanding of the psychology of emotions and a better understanding of your own emotions, including what happens in your body when you’re stressed or anxious

·        Learn the psychology of memory and how your memory works, why you forget things, and how to improve your memory

·        Understand how you learn and why you were conditioned to continue certain behaviors and patterns

·        Explore what motivation is and how it works

·        Understand how children learn and grow based on their experience with their parents and the world around them

·        Explore social psychology and the influence that OTHERS have on you, including conformity, obedience, prejudice, and behaviors

I really enjoyed the course; learned a lot personally and professionally. I have better understanding of psychology and aspects of life. Would have preferred to message instructors with questions and communicate?

I'm in my mid 50's, and I'm trying to figure out myself so I can enjoy the best of me. I've literally been sleep walking through life. My life's not bad but I know there's more and I want to wake up to it

It's a grand entry to psychology. I like how it ended with social psychology. Going through this course in 2022 and reflecting on all that's been happening over the past 2years shows how much psychology impacts our worlds without us knowing. Thanks to the team for putting this together.

Very interesting concepts. Presentation can be improved a little. Learned something new. The experiments and theory shown are very interesting and helpful to understand the different parts of psychology.

It is interesting but the instructor says to move your arm VIRTUALLY (not real), but when I peek, I see him move his arm on the video anyway.

It seems the tutor knows his stuff - but in the introduction, his eyes were not very focused on the camera - maybe he should re-record it as it gives an image of lack of self-confidence - in the next recordings, he was more at ease and seems knowledgeable in a fun and simple way.

I am really interested in all of this and although I said I was new to this I remember taking a basic course many years ago and some of this information was in it. Not all though. I am learning something new. Thanks you

The presentations are very professional and the lecturer knows what he is talking about. They also use a lot of real experiments as examples and also he uses his own life a lot as an example. I really like the personal and professional aspect of this course. He knows very well how to present the material in a clear and simplified way without reducing the information.

This course is loaded with information, and well researched. The only down side is that the delivery is a little monotone, often sounds like reading a script, and mostly slides which are not as interesting as an engaged speaker. Nonetheless, the information makes it worth spending the time to listen.

I really like the way how the teacher opened up in his introduction, and liked that he's encouraging to just try this just because and not have to be something for anyones future. Plus I love psychology and how it can change anyones minds.

Within just the first two lectures i have already learnt alot. I think its important for a subject like pyschology to have some background information on the speaker. Here it has been done amazingly, honestly, factually and in a really motivational way. It has made it really easy to engage and excite me for the rest of the course.
