Microsoft Project is a powerful Project Management tool. It automates the process of organizing, scheduling, recording, calculating, tracking, reporting, and analyzing schedule data for any project. The tool will help you achieve your project goals on time and within budget. You will learn all this and MORE in this course.

For the new PM: MS Project can appear very intimidating to a new user. For a new Project Manager who is learning the art of project management - having to learn the software tool can be very taxing without someone to hold your hand and walk you from start to finish.

For the experienced PM: This course will make your skills really shine. You know that there are so many aspects to a project - the schedule, resourcing, quality, costs, reporting. And everything must be reported from a microscopic to a 20,000 ft level at the drop of a hat. This course will allow you to do just that.

What you will get from this course:

  1. 61 short and sweet, topic specific lectures. No rambling lessons ever.
  2. 50+ exercise files - almost every lesson has a file which you can download and use.
  3. Every lesson is hands-on and you learn by doing.
  4. Certificate of completion
  5. A course designed to walk you quickly from Baby steps to Sprints to Marathons.

"Life Long Learner(LLL) - A part of me !! First and foremost thanks for a course which worth more then just certain $. I have been on MSP 2010 for a long now, so I thought of upgrading to whats new in 2013. I have been through your course and indeed a complete package that an professional would expect. I have been doing project coordination for a company , and now completed with my PMP in June. Project management is something I love doing, by completing the course it good to be upgraded on application side also. Also i am collecting PDU's for PMI's CCR. So this course offered me to learn a new MSP 2013 along with PDU's."

Some of the sound is very poor quality and would be incomprehensible without the text also showing on screen,

First off this is a comprehensive and superbly constructed course - no theory all hands-on. I am not a rookie with MS Project but even I learnt so much from this course that I am highly impressed. The creator of this course has consciously steered away from Project Management and kept the focus tightly on Microsoft Project - I realized this in the first lesson and the following quiz. And this is what is brilliant about this course. There are so many books that try to muddle between the two and get nowhere with either. I highly recommend this course to anyone seeking to learn using MS Project. If like me you got a coupon, then spare not a thought but jump to take this course.

What more to ask for - I feel very comfortable with MS Project having finished about 90% of the course in 2 days. Quite an addition to professional skills. Most impressive is that the instructor responds quickly. Great experience overall and I am delighted with Udemy. Thanks all!

Having messed around with MS Project myself, then with books and then colleagues - I still haven't seen folks who have gotten the hang of it meaningfully. And then this course will handhold anyone who wishes to learn painlessly and with great examples . It does not matter to me that the content in the examples themselves are for tech domain - that hardly matters as the principles are same for civil sector where I am more interested in. Project being so expensive, it is a shame if the investment isn't fully harnessed. My TWO THUMBS UP to this instructor and course I see they are very responsive on the discussion forums too.

First off, this is a real good learning resource. If you are looking to get from beginner to expert level this is the best you can do. I wish I had done this course years ago instead of buying books. What works real well is the structure of the teaching - going quickly from fundamentals on to the core of being productive with MS Project. I have used the tool from a long time - but never felt compelled to use it beyond planning and "what-if" analysis with the start dates. But I will be doing full justice to the wonderful tool - "ally by your side :-)" as called by the instructor in a lesson. KUDOS to everyone involved in creating this tutorial. Improvement - I can see massive benefit for the students if the instructor provides assignments - or problems to solve. The quizzes are there but can Project based exercises be given?

Have been procrastinating getting indepth with MS Project for quite some time. And this course really is making it worthwhile the wait for me. I have gone midway through it and took a break to go apply and rework a dozen things on my project. This is not just a course - it is a reference material. This course is focused on Managers and gives quite a lot of handy tips on the way - that is quite extra worthy bits. I would love to have some extra printables - but that is perhaps asking for too much.

I got a lot of compliments for my project plan today - thanks so much to this course. The few times I have used Project earlier would be infuriating with the automatic calculations that Project does, especially when one adds multiple resources. This course has been a blessing - with such a nicely guided and hand-held walk through all the maze. As a cool bonus, I have also configured a few reports that will from now on run automatically for me. I will recommend this course for managers who have earlier hesitated using Project or just could not decipher it. In contrast, reading a book appears to be more like a collection of recipes. Absolutely thrilled with this course and am very glad for the lifetime access. Thanks!!

This is a big, full detailed course - and because there is no fluff at all - it is even more comprehensive. The introduction is very thorough, and then all aspects of MS Project is covered systematically and thoroughly. I covered 95% in about 1 week - and I intend to print my certificate in the next week. My strong recommendation is that you should work on the examples in every lesson if the learning has to make complete impact. Mid-way through the course I fired up Project and have worked on almost all the examples. And that gives maximum confidence. It seems every version of Project is getting more and more complex - I have seen from a while but never had to create on it until now. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to get to expert level on MS Project.

This is a fantastic course - and starts from the beginning, going all the way to showing every highway, nook and cranny of Microsoft Project. We are rolling out Project to all project managers in our company and while it is not an easy learning curve - this course has made it very digestible. How I tackled this course: a. Allocate a stretch of time for learning where you can completely focus - 1 or 2 hours per day - or one long stretch like I did b. Keep Project open all through - and immediately try out the feature being discussed c. Use the Porject's free templates to create a workable exercise (some exercise files are also provided) d. Create your own real life project in parallel to the learning - it may be 'use and throw' - but this really helped me a lot I highly recommend this course if you want to get to expert level on MS Project.

Delighted with this course because I have been using Project for about a decade now and I was skimming the surface. The instructor does a great job unravelling all the gears and levers, buttons and switches of how to create a great schedule. AND THEN some more - he goes on to show 2 or 3 other ways to do the same :-) For my Monday morning meeting - I have already created great report that gets updated thanks to this course. As another reviewer has mentioned - this course is encyclopedic :-)

Hi Srikanth, really want to convey thanks for the quick response and the detailed screenshots you sent. I have posted one more question whether to re-do a project plan or how best to salvage it. Kindly respond. Regards, Praful Kumar

Not a beginner with MS Project but this course is like an ultimate resource. I frequently review project plans and the work/resource views explained here and new reports are going to be high utility for my team. Great work - would love to know if new things are added, do let me know. I am going to play a few lessons for my team - especially "Work formula Basics". Also appreciate if the cloud features are added though only pro version is mentioned. Thanks!

My organization mandates MS Project and so I have to learn in a hurry. I have been using Trello, Basecamp, Excel and Outlook earlier. This course showed me how Project blows everything out of the water. The lessons are really great at 5 mins each - the pace starts slow and gains momentum. Really impressed and I am trying out all the exercises in the course. Will really help to add lots of quizzes - as I feel that I will enjoy them. As another reviewer has said - I will keep returning often - this is a reference point. REAL TREAT for everyone - the MS Proj Reports are truly awesome and worth its weight in gold.

I have finished about 3 hours of the course and felt I needed to write this review. I am not new to Ms Project - using it from 5 years. But now I realized that I was using it superficially. What is great about this course is that every lesson is simple examples that I can immediately use for my projects. I applied already a dozen things I learned in the lessons to my current project and it looks great. My only request to instructor is upload all exercise files ASAP. Cheers!

I am very happy with this course. I have earlier been using MS Project from long - but only the very basic features. This is because I never found the time to read a book or self-learn. This course helped me create my first detailed project schedule that got me immediate accolades - I got WBS from my team, imported them into my project, auto connected dependencies and constraints. I also made manual tasks where sufficient info was not known. And the icing on the cake was resource overallocation was not as difficult as I always found. What I like most: 1. The lessons are very well planned - there is no rambling. Every lesson has an intro, an example and a conclusion. There is a gradual buildup of concepts. I have yet to finish the course but what I have gone through already and seeing rest of curriculum - everything is very well thought out - like a good project plan :-) 2. I asked the instructor for something and the respnse was quick and precise - REALLY appreciate that, thank you! Areas of improvement: a. Voice dropped low momentarily in one or two lessons - this can be improved (but there are subtitles in all places, so) b. Please include ALL exercise files - it will help a LOT to really follow through on the examples - I see these have not been uploaded c. Add Tests - I would like to come back often and take tests more than once All in all, I recommend this course, thanks.
