No practical hands-on. kinda felt like translating a wikipedia page on java by male voice. NOT RECOMMENDABLE!

Lab could keep more part of it for ON YOUR OWN section, almost all labs were about copy pasting and understanding.

This is a great overview of the absolute basics of Java! If you're studying for the exam and need a little more handholding on the code portion, this is not for you. It's a GREAT conceptual overview, though. And after 2 years of studying and 3 different java classes, I think this course finally made polymorphism actually click, and why it's so useful and cool. I'll need more for the exam, I think, but this course was a GREAT start.

It is my first time to learn Java in this order, I believe that this order makes sense more than typical order in the textbooks. The course is pretty useful, but I expected finding a separate exam preparation material, not finding such material was disappointing for me.

I liked the course. The instructor was clear and to the point. The lab was helpful for practice. However, sometimes I got confused because the instructor showed parts of the program on the presentation instead of explaining and coding it. Overall, it was a good course and it helped me learn and review many concepts.

If I'm being totally honest, this course was too basic for me. There was a lot of knowledge I already had about Java, and was looking for features and functions that I can specifically use new to Java 8. Many parts of this course was just re-hashing things I already knew. That being said, I found the content to be very informative to the point where I definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to start coding in Java - it provides a very solid overview on how the language works and best practices for using the language in clear, concise methods. I learned some more nuanced information about things I already knew, which I found to be helpful in the long run.

Very good course to learn Java, I've followed this course and it really helped me improve my knowledge in Java. As this course suggests, it's no enough to pass the certification but it's one of the greatest starting points, absolutely recommend it!

Really amazing. I was having trouble in switching from C++ (my first OOP language) to Java but this course set my flow and especially the LAB ASSIGNMENT questions which are set in such a practical way that one feels like he/she is really working for an organization. I still remember the name ACME ORDER SYSTEM XD. Thanks a lot sir :)
