Was well thought out on how to get started with Clickhouse. Would love to see another section added on developing a project using clickhouse and developing a schema.

explains syntax, but doesn't explain what things are for or how they should be used. For example mergetrees, syntax is explained but there is no explanation of why you should use them and what for.

There aren't many courses available to learn ClickHouse and I enrolled in this course to learn ClickHouse for my upcoming project. I was able to finish this course over the weekend and this course just delivers. Pros: 1) Covers a lot of topics in ClickHouse 2) Course duration - Contents were crisp and to the point 3) Quiz - Good number of questions are available to test our learnings 4) Examples demonstrated - Easy to follow and replicate while practicing. Complex concepts are broken down into easily understandable examples. Cons: 1) Got a little boring during the Chapter on SQL functions 2) The MergeTree engine lecture felt too long and can be split into smaller lectures 3) Instructor sounds monotonous in some places This course has some rough edges but still, it is better than the other expensive courses available on ClickHouse. Highly recommended for those who are new to ClickHouse and to the existing ClickHouse users who want to learn more about ClickHouse.

Previously, this course had a title suggesting it was supposed to be a "complete" guide, but this has been corrected. It's actually a very good course to get a overview of clickhouse, the technology it uses and its abilities. Many small trivial chapters handle different table engines and highlight their pros and cons, giving an idea of their usefulness in different scenarios. If you're looking for a in-depth understanding, this might not (yet) be the right course for you.
