The student will learn about stored procedures, If Else, While Loop, cursors, derived tables, CTEs, sproc permissions, temp tables, sproc parameters and much more. The student at the end of this course will gain valuable information about sprocs and how to read and follow them in the production environment.

Why take this course?

The student will learn about stored procedures, If Else, While Loop, cursors, derived tables, CTEs, sproc permissions, temp tables, sproc parameters and much more.  The student at the end of this course will gain valuable information about sprocs and how to read and follow them in the production environment.  In addition, the student will be given examples of block statements, transactions commands, recursive CTEs, error handling, variables, and much more.  This course will greatly help those students that want to understand how to read, modify, and execute from simple to complex stored procedures.  By creating stored procedures, the developer has greater control in the execution of SQL commands, permissions, and greater flexibility in updating the sproc.

Speaks quite fast but enough to get understood. I like the detailed explanation which serves to be immediate answers to my question(s) while watching the lessons. Quite short but a good learning materials.

nothing to do with administration. Almost nothing to do with stored procedures. Completely wrong title.

This is course is very very good. I just can't give it a full 5 stars bc of the lax script formatting and some of the resources where shortcuts to files rather than actual files. Raf is a good teacher but it's obvious he kinda stumble through some of the lessons. When you're a noob nomenclature is very important and he didnt get it right a little bit too often. I still recommend it.

Since I am already somewhat an advance SQL code writer, this wasn't advanced enough for me, but I did learn some new things that I didn't know. So that was good.

Simplistic, but in a good way. Definitely not going to take you from 1 to 1000, but will absolutely get the ball rolling.

El curso es muy bueno, aprendí los elementos básicos de SQL Server, cosas que no sabía. Sin embargo, creo que hicieron falta ejemplos con mayor grado de dificultad en cada tema.

Knew most of the concepts, good for beginners starting into SQL Server & intermediate users understanding topics such as CTE

It's a good course for understanding SQL stored procedures. I learned how to understand, read and code them. I'd recommend this to anybody that already has a beginner understanding of SQL server.

most of the lessons explanation was good, but 2 lessons could have been explained better 1) recursive CTE ( expecting more sample) ,2) CTE update insert ( in this he is using CTE in update & insert statement , using same table name which is wrong )

I was never able to get the program installed to even start the course and the instructor could not resolve the issue.

Great pre-selected topics, love summaries at the end of each lecture along with practical examples and downloadable materials. I have intermediate SQL knowledge, and it feels great to see my experience become more geared towards 'advanced'.

I do not know how to use the statements in the while loop and Error handling statements, that I have learned in the previous course of "Learn T-SQL From Scratch For SQL Server Administrator". I will try to found out however. The following information of this course, I do not get an idea how I will used it at my work place: It looks like the Cursors and CTE statements does the same that the select statements do, that I have learned in my previous course. It looks to me that the derived tables does the same thing that temp tables does, stores information temperary. I find the derived tables much of a effort to work with, than the temp tables. The following information that I will use at my workplace: The rest of the information in the course I find very useful. I have used the If Else statement and the statement of creating a view a lot at my workplace. I like the Excel formula a lot. I have situations at my workplace, where I am going to use that Excel formula a lot. The Transaction statement is a very good meganisism to use, before committing on an update, created, inserted and delete statement. I will definitely use that transaction statement a lot. Please note that I do not work on my company databases yet, as I am still studying to become a database administrator. I have a personal server on my laptop of course. I create my own databases on my laptop at work, to store my work I must still complete and update the information on my personal database as I complete my work.
