Course starts a bit slow and choppy, but once it finds its groove things are paced well, flow well, and the skills I came to learn I am gaining.

Bridget30 June 2019

The lecture was cool but I wanted advance Kinetic Typography Animation. So I have benefited 20% from this course. Thank you Sir

Mate3 December 2018

It was more basic than I expected. I hoped a couple of "3D" and more professional typograph would be there, but it's completly perfect for the absolut beginners (aka. never seen After Effects before). Notes: I spent 20 mins while I found the correct timecode in the speech...

Erica18 June 2018

I actually taught myself a lot of these techniques without knowing their official terms, but it was nice to get a quick refresher and learn the proper name for the effect I was doing!

Christian3 May 2018

Esta genial la forma clara y precisa como explica y habla, se me hace un poco fácil ya que no hablo ingles.

Brent8 March 2018

Really good information once you finally get to it. The first 3 sections could pretty well go away...

Jennifer29 June 2017

This is a great course for beginners. The topics on how to animate the text and background is very helpful. By the way, I like the swinging text effect. Thank you for this course.

Hocine27 May 2017

Well, this course is amazingly informative and clearly presented with a such great instructor. So what I want to say is this course is one of the best courses I've ever had.. thank you Phil.

Prem29 April 2017

Phil is very dedicated to teaching and guiding, also with this course, he spares no effort. He knows good what he is explaining and keeps it interesting.

Gustavo16 April 2017

I really enjoyed the course, the instructor does an amazing job teaching step by step, he gives you all the material you need to work, and he gives you some tips in what you can do for a better experience to users.

Benjamin12 January 2017

I think the course is pretty outdated. I know the basics of after effects and wanted to get a little better with kinetic typography, there was one updated section that was really good and very helpful but if anything that made me notice how outdated the rest is. Phil is a good teacher, knows his stuff but yeah, rather than make new parts to salvage what was created I'm guessing 5 years plus ago maybe you should get rid of it or update the complete course.

Kenneth1 November 2016

What he did that was so different from all the other lessons I watched? He added a mini screen where you can see him as he teaches. Really felt like I was listening to a living human instructor.

Colin26 September 2016

The course is well put together. The content builds nicely lesson to lesson and it is clear, concise and easy to follow. Highly recommend this to folks looking to learn a new After Effects skill!

Darnel23 September 2016

There is alot of little details that are considered and things which I would have never thought about it. Great tips too. Plus its a good course to have

Tom1 September 2016

Lots of great information and practical examples. Working through a couple of projects together is a great way to learn. One thing that I would have liked to seen more of is discussion on the design decisions being made. While I understand that the examples were constructed in a way to sequentially teach various concepts (let's work on position animation; okay now we'll work on scale animations, etc...), it would have been nice to start a project with some discussion of what we were trying to achieve, what the tone was going to be, and what design considerations we must make in order to achieve the goals of the project. The projects were great for learning the "how's", I would just like to see a little more on "why's". I mean this, not so much as a criticism, but as a suggestion to take the course to an even higher level.
