I should know better then to expect anything much from a free course. She doesn't go into any of the topics in any kind of depth.

Firstly, Jeanette brings the course to us as a practicing author. Not only that; but, an author who is applying the complete online marketing approaches covered in the course. Even if you have done other courses on ebook publishing this one is still worthwhile doing. The presenter discusses things not covered in other courses. She is passionate about what she is doing and that comes through.

This is a very good course to get an overview on how to publish your first book successfully. The instructions are easy to understand and follow. Dr. Cates also provides tips to do or avoid on your path to publishing your first Kindle book. I highly recommend this course and her advise.

The instructor does an honest and excellent job of telling the student ways in which they too can create and publish a book on Kindle. I highly recommend taking this course.

Thank you for weaving in strategic tips. They help me see how to market, better manage my products, and plan for the future. Update: I've now published 3 eBooks using what I learned here with have two more in the pipeline!

Another course encouraging ghostwriting get-rich-quick, but with a few new gimmicks and a whole lot of product plugging. I have a special loathing for websites demanding squeeze opt-in listing before even seeing the site frontpage like author's plugged onehourprintbook, as well as a frustration at the get rich quick schemes "curating" /flooding KDP with subpar ghostwriting outsourcing online... but the instructor is quite clear about intentions and teaches what she promises to: completing this sort of book within this small time window. Very comprehensive and helpful step-by-step training.... a real action plan to follow to get that book published on kindle and/or paperback, as well as structured marketing tips

This was a good practical course on publishing on Kindle. Even though I have already published 10 books I picked up a couple of tips that I will use. I would ignore the advice on going from print book to Kindle though using the option in Createspace - that doesn't work in my experience and Jeanette says herself she hasn't tried it. You end up with a mess if you do the automatic conversion. I also prefer to format my books properly using html but the simple formatting Jeanette uses will work if you have a very simple book.

This will save me and all course participants hours of aggravation and substantial amounts of money. For someone who surely has an opinion, she is remarkably fair in giving both sides to questions new authors might have, such as "Should I self publish or go with a traditional publisher?" She gives you both the strategy and tactics to position your book as a business, rather than as a potential 'one-hit-wonder'. This course is so worth your time if both new to authorship or needing to update your know-how.
