Description

What This Course Is About

This course aims to teach you the essential basics of 9 important IT topics in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

If you're thinking about a career in IT Support, HelpDesk, or as a Technician, this is a great starting point. By the end of this course, you'll feel confident applying for jobs and doing well in interviews. If you're already working in IT, this course will help you build a strong foundation to move ahead in your career. These basics will make the tasks you do every day much clearer and help you become the technician that everyone looks up to.

Why Choose This Course

There are lots of courses on sites like Udemy and others that focus on specific technologies and their certifications. While those courses are good and go into depth, they might not be what you need when you're just starting out. At the beginning, you just need to grasp the basics. You can dive into the details and certifications once you've gained some experience. Unfortunately, most courses and books don't follow this approach for teaching IT. This is one reason why people sometimes find IT difficult. All they see are courses and topics piled on top of each other, trying to explain everything in too much detail. In reality, learning and mastering IT can be easy – and I'll show you how.

For someone getting into IT for the first time, this is absolutely helpful. Even though I've reached my full year at my company, it's my very first IT job and this course is helping so much!

Using simple terms and using great examples and analogies to explain complex concepts (with exception of Network, details below). Appreciate the visuals. Network section was a bit difficult and felt overwhelmed, I skipped that section because the post office analogy didn't translate when switching to network. Attempted to watch the section after the analogy to see if I could follow but I was not able to. I will need to look for another course on explaining fundamentals of Network.

I took this course a refresher. The course itself was well explained and very thorough. If you are looking for something introductory this would be it. However, I do believe you need a bit more knowledge on the subject these days to land a job doing Help Desk. However, great foundation.

Very good course for prospective entry level or new hire Help Desk employees. Covers the basics without overwhelming the listener. Provides a great groundwork that trainers can build on with someone new to the technical side of how computing works. Easy concepts, excellent graphs and demonstration screens with the paths for routing, cloud computing, printers, servers etc.

Arun, thanks so much for this Course. It really helped me to achieve clear understanding of concepts and processes involved in each of the 9 topics. I encourage you to keep making more courses with the same approach: same application for visuals with lots of visuals, and clear and short explanation of concepts and processes! Something that I really liked was that at the end of each episode all visuals were presented at a glance, which helped me to get the big picture of all the topics learned in the episode! Loved the recaps and activities as well! Arun, I wish you the best in your career and in every thing that you do! Thank you!

I find this course very informative in being simple and clear on what each component is. It act as a revision and also to enforce the knowledge I have. Not too much details to confuse the mind but enough to be able to grasp what they are.

I think this course is perfect to people without IT knowledge. That is very important to manage the concepts. But it should be better when some examples had been added in this course.
