This course provides a great foundation for self directed investing, particularly as someone who only held "set and forget" mutual funds at the direction of my bank. Now that I know more about the fundamentals I have a good starting point to dive deeper into investment strategies that interest me, and more confidence with using a broker platform to make trades. Only thing for me that I thought was missing were discussion around/answers to questions like: Is the stock market a zero sum game? And how do companies benefit from a high share price after they have gone public, since they gain no more capital from third parties trading their stock? I did find some answers to these elsewhere, but I think a lot of people are naturally curious about these topics.
Very informative and very clear, there is no beating around the bush it is straight facts.i am new to this and wish I had started when I was younger
Unless I go further into the course I wilt be able to rate correctly ! It’s so far good , hence this rating
Even though it is called-out during the speech that there is no suggestion on the share to buy I felt several time through thee course that there was an implicit suggestion on J&J
SO POOR 3 stars for the content. Complete theory there was no exercises. Other courses offered exercises and practical explanation. 2 Stars for the delivery & explanation. So many things could have been summarised into 2 min video but there was so much unnecessary talks. The important ones like fundamental analysis - the ratios are so important but only very little explantation was given. I had to do more research on youtube to understand better 2 stars for presentation - excited almost all the time and basic powerpoint slides. Others offered animated videos for better understanding Overall - The speaker lacked passion, completely. Full of theory and it was boring. Would not recommend.
This course helped me to get knowledge about everything that I think is essential in stock investing. Before starting I didn't know anything - now I feel ready to start investing and keep going! Learning curve was very appropriate for somebody who is starting in stock investments. Thanks Steve! Professional job!
It's a great course when you start as a beginner, all information is presented in easy way with simple examples. The course has a very good structure, everything which you will need for the analysis and decisions described there. Thank you
Definitely worth the money and time investment! The course has very good content and the instructor does a very good job explaining the concepts (mutual funds vs etfs, full service brokers vs discount brokers, etc). I learned a lot from listening to the lecture and feel more confident in DIY investing
Overall it was good! The quizzes at the end of each section should be improved dramatically! Two questions for quiz is almost pathetic! And I say it because the teacher teaches so good and has so much information to pass on to students!
Followed 5 hours more or less and so far the course is very good and explains all the basics and the different types of stocks and ratios
What a fantastic teacher! I started this course with absolutely zero knowledge about stocks. In fact, my friends made jokes when I told them I was going to suddenly take a course on investing. But, now, I have gained the skills to go ahead and make well-informed decisions on which stocks to buy, how to buy them, where to buy them and so much more! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this goldmine of information, tips and investing hacks. You have changed my life!
It is indeed a complete course. Besides the well explained topics and examples, I found a great deal of advice on the mentality you should have when you invest. Time well spent, 5 stars!
Everyday is another day of learning processes. As an amateur stock investor, this course gives me an overview on how to trade stocks. I am thankful for this course to elevate myself in stock trading
Yes, absolutely. I knew nothing about stocks and investing. The jargon had always been like the hieroglyphs. Now, it is starting to make some sense
It was a very informational course about investing in Stocks. I would really recommend it for anybody who is new at this topic and wants to learn more about investing in stocks. I am not giving it a full 5 stars because the course was a bit too theoretical. I think it could have been done better with some real examples. But overal a very good course :D
