This is a brand new world of terrain modeling. Was using Eon Vue before. This seems way more user friendly. Thanks so much for creating this tutorial.

It was great! I already have experience using some procedural texturing software such as substance designer and really wanted to learn world machine really quickly so this course for pretty much perfect for it

I can tell he knows the software. Only four videos in I have learned many new things about world machine and how to use it to create great worlds.

outdated version of world machine, broken up introduction, skipping key features and addressing advanced features with no reasoning or usage

The instructor is going at a good pace that is not too fast. He seems like a nice person. Each feature of the program is explained clearly and he shows the feature as he is using it. I like that he is clear with each feature before moving on to the next one. So far the lessons haven't been applied to making a project, so he is just going over each aspect of the software. I think this will make even more sense when we start to apply these to building a project later in the course.

I am unable to download required files for study! The course is USELESS without them, and there is no way of contacting the vendor to rectify this problem!

I feel more confident with world machine now thanks to this tutorial. Now it all comes down to time and practice. The Instructor was very clear and easy to follow along. The unreal export was a nice touch which is the engine I primarily use. Overall great course!

Still mostly relevant for the current version and was able to follow along. Was a bit slow at times covering all the options of all the nodes which wasn't really necessary

I had used World Machine before but needed a refresher, and this course was great! I learned new things, and especially found the video on creating Macros useful. It was also a nice Bonus to have the videos on Unity & Unreal setup. Thanks!

I think the content is really good. It could be organized a little better. The course could definitely benefit from a short, high level intro to World Machine. The presenter has a habit of tweaking the node layout while he's talking. It's a little distracting. Lastly, the video is recorded at a low resolution, which makes the text difficult to read and a little annoying when the presenter is constantly moving windows around to overcome the lack of screen space.

Great course overall, learned so much about World Machine as well as how to utilize its vast array of tools. The course goes over just about everything. It provides you with the knowledge you need to make your own terrains from scratch which is quite wonderful. Toward the end though when it came to texturing, everything became a little difficult to see as to whats connected to what. Also when I was repeating the process of importing the splatmap to Unity, I ran into some trouble and was not able to do so. Nonetheless disregarding splatmaps, this is a marvelous course that covers just about everything you need to know in World Machine that you can't find anywhere else!

El curso es claro, da una explicación de prácticamente todas las opciones que tiene el programa per le falta más prácticas.

When it comes to CG tutorials, I'm a total addict. I watch so much everyday that I literally have no time for any entertainment beside it. And so I've seen many instructors, trainers and artists try with more or less skill to teach others. I'm super picky, very critical, and I'm the sort of guy to write long scathing reviews if I even remotely feel I've been ripped off or that the trainer doesn't really know what he's talking about. And so, having finished this course (except for the Unity part, but I'm an Unreal user), there's a question that comes to mind. WHERE IN THE WORLD HAVE YOU BEEN, Peter? My only regret is that this is an introduction course only. This guy has the most laid-back, no-nonsense lecturing style I've seen in a long, long time. If you want a concise intro-level WM tutorial look no further, this is the absolute best on the market, and I have seen them ALL. Now I'll do everything I can to get more people to buy his stuff so that he gets the incentive to make MORE. As far as I've seen he only has another one available here and it's for PS texturing, a tool I don't use anymore for this purpose. Maybe another general one on one of Ryan's Kingslien sites if memory serves. Here's hoping he produces more - eg enviro modeling has very little competition here on Udemy and judging by the number of students they get, there's a big market for it. Thank you for this course!

Finally a course that explains in-depth how to use World Machine! Goes fast, right to the point, no wasted minutes. I can only recommend it.

After seeing Peter's awesome terrains on the Unity store, and then realizing that he had a world machine course out, it was a no brainer for me! His experience in environment design really shines through here. The course itself is extremely thorough while being easy to follow. The pace is also just right - not too slow to be boring, and not too fast that a beginner would get left in the dust. Do yourself a favor and take this course. There is nothing comparable out there that I've found, and even if you're a seasoned WM user, you will still learn something Huge thanks to the instructor for creating this course!
