Why take this course?

Every current web designer will most likely have mastered CSS long ago. But believe it or not, some have not yet realised the enormous benefits Sass can add to CSS – for one thing, it opens up a whole range of features not available in CSS. Couple that with the fact that it makes CSS concise and readable, and it's a sure fire way to make CSS better as well as more fun!

Learn the Most Powerful CSS Extension Language in the World

  • Compile and work with the core features of Sass
  • Learn a stylesheet language compatible with any CSS version
  • Organise your CSS to make it more readable
  • Configure Sass for development and master CSS efficiency

Course Overview

This course is intended for web designers, web developers, and anyone else who already has a working knowledge of CSS. It does not cover Sass installation or configuration of a text editor, but instead jumps straight ahead to working with practical, real world examples of Sass in action. Therefore this course is not suitable for students who have limited or no knowledge of CSS.

During this course you will get to grips with core features of Sass like variables, inheritance, nesting and mixins, amongst others. You will learn how to build alert panels, how to configure Sass for development, and how to master CSS efficiency with Sass, making your code more readable and more concise.

After just 40 minutes, you will finish up this course with a solid knowledge of Sass which you will be able to implement immediately. And better yet, you will have rediscovered what made CSS fun in the first place!

I learned quite a bit, however I had a few issues and just wish I had the complete working copy of the code to compare at the end of the lesson, was a little frustrated that I couldn't end with the page working like his, there was no way to compare where I made mistakes.

Course delivered with quick, concise and usable examples of each topic. Instructor is adept at using the file system/ide and as an extra benefit, I have incorporated his file structure techniques into my projects which has vastly improved my project organization.

A very good into to SASS. It is short, and not comprehensive, but it does touch on what SASS is, how it works, and provides great examples. For someone new to SASS, I recommend this course. You will need further classes, but this helps get your head around how it works. The instructor is on point, and does a good job explaining everything clearly and concisely.

This was a quick, but quite thorough course to pick up a new skill. Great explanations, and definitely a recommended course for anybody who wants to add SASS to their repertoire.

A very concise course, well worth taking; more material would be desirable but a student can expand the core skills taught here to many new examples. One advantage of presenting this course as a very concise collection of narrowly targeted lectures is that it is very easy to return to the concepts taught in this course and find the specific lecture that covers whichever issue one is addressing in coding a website using SCSS. This makes the course very useful in the long-term, as a resource one can draw upon again and again.

Good delivery and very informational. Seems pretty short, the concepts could have been expanded upon by using a more real life example.

It is a very good course to get anyone started to program in SASS. Even this is a short course, it covered broad topics for SASS. Recommended for anyone starting to learn SASS.

The course was as comprehensive as it could be at 40 minutes long. The quality was great. At no point did I have an issues seeing the code or changes to the output. The audio worked fine as well.

I really enjoyed the intro to SASS, however the trainer moved a little too fast and I had to keep pausing the videos to keep up (and I'm a rather fast typist)

Overall a good course. This course really isn't for a complete beginner. It was difficult to follow along because of how fast he was moving from one page to the next. And the minor details where not explained very clearly.

I am one of the beginner of SASS and not a native english speaker. The instructor speaks slow and clear with his british accent. I can fully understand and done a good practice. My recommend about the videos is to add fade-out effect at the end of each videos. It would be more smoothly jump between the videos.
