When I first learned to meditate twenty years ago, I was in a rehab centre, and could not take a breath without thoughts of shame and self-hatred. I could not stop the racing thoughts and cravings at all. Over time, I studied and practised, and worked at a buddhist centre and retreat centre for fifteen years, whereI learned how to still the mind and relate to thoughts differently. These skills and tools have saved me from relapse and saved my life, improved my self-esteem, and removed cravings, anxiety, and self-obsession completely. Transforming the mind has transformed my life, as we experience everything through the mind. If I can do it so can you, even if you believe that you can’t meditate because your mind is special and different!

This course will give you a range of precious tools to help you not only stay in recovery when life gets challenging, but also to live in a more peaceful, happy and free mind.
What You Will Find Inside
1 - You will learn what meditation is and why it is so liberating.
2 - You will find pointers in how to create a space, a time, and how to find the right posture for you. I will support you to find the motivation and inspiration to start and persist with meditation.
3 - You will learn about the breath and why it so helpful in meditation. You will be introduced to two short practices; one to get you started watching your thoughts and finding the gaps, and the second is a short meditation that you will be able to use at any time whenever you need to change your state. This is a wonderful tool for relapse prevention, or to cope with anxiety, anger, panic, or cravings.
4 - Here you will learn more essential elements of meditation, with audio meditations on relaxing the body and on counting the breath, which helps to slow and quiet thinking.
5 - You will learn the full practice of mindfulness of breathing, beginning with the a shorter practice, and ending with the full practice.
6 - You will discover further pointers on motivation, some tips and tricks about how to make meditation interesting and pleasurable, how to deepen your practice, and some secrets from the highest teachings of Tibetan buddhism on the spaciousness in which lies freedom.
7 - You will find advice on moving from guided meditation to driving your own meditation, and you will find bonus recordings of the bells to help give you structure.
8 - To finish, you will find some inspiring writing about meditation, and advice on some of the deep blisses available in meditation.
