About the Instructor

Some contens are little old. This course is for AWS intermidiate. It is better to describe the deletion of non-free resources.

Was really looking forward to this course as Bryan is an awesome instructor. However, it is not useful to continually teach non-production ready habits to developers trying to learn and implement best practices. In this course Bryan constantly says "I'm going to implement x this way but you would never want to do it this way in production/real-life". Well how would I implement this in real life!!!?

In the course introduction, Bryan says he will do lots of hands-on labs and that the course is not "death by powerpoint slides". Then after signing up for the course, you are presented with mostly slides, and a few demos that are rushed and not easy to follow along with. I don't see anything in the course that I would classify as a hands-on lab. Additionally in almost every demo Bryan says something like "In the real world, you wouldn't want to do it this way, but I'm going to do it this way." That's not very helpful as I am trying to integrate AWS and Vault in the real world and would like to know the proper way to do it. I was able to get some of the information I was looking for, but the presentation and organization left a little to be desired.

Great content but when using the terminal to demo things, please use a high contrast between the terminal text and background. It makes following along on a mobile device a lot easier.

Excellent course, recommended for anyone planning to use Vault on AWS. Clear explanations from the author helps understanding the concepts well. Looking forward to the "coming soon" part and hoping to see topics on installing/using Vault on EKS, Terraform etc.

overall the course was great and worthwhile! the material was useful and engaging, presented in clear and easily digestible way, kudos for Bryan! that said, I (personally) was hoping for more in dept deployment and configuration, such as best practices on configuring autoscaling (or rather auto-healing) with ELB health checks (including a demo session on auto-healing), provisioning vault cluster with different storage backends, for instance consul, which is considered the recommended way.

Excellent demonstrations with clear explanations on how different Vault configurations and AWS services are mapped together! This is absolutely something I would recommend for any professional looking to operationalize HashiCorp Vault in AWS. Looking forward to the "Coming Soon" content! Great work Bryan!
