It would be better if we could follow along writing the code rather than just listening to the author

It still have problems in some classes like lesson 28 that has 10 minutes of blank video image but it has good quality. I would give 5 if it got updated since it's a course designed in 2012 and we are in 2016.

Total practical approach towards HTML5. The course is excellent based on the content. It is intermediate but explained very simply by the instructor and good examples are given throughout. Thanks for sharing the resources. Cheers.

Excellent course, the instructor was great. He provided pertinent examples and was very clear in his descriptions. The course material is very much appreciated, especially since the Instructor include additional coding examples to allow the student more options in their implementation of HTML5. Thanks again, enjoyed it very much and gained a huge amount of new knowledge.

Content is great, very well explained in a very concise way. It evolves in a very good pace, so you don't feel lost along the way. Great content for free, a must do!

I have taken several web dev courses through Udemy and other sites, and this one was one of my favorites. The instructor was knowledgeable, the pace was perfect, and the topics covered were different than the same ones I have seen in other areas. The more advanced topics I'm sure will require more self-study, but at least I know what direction to move in. I would highly recommend this course to anyone getting into web dev.

This is one of the best Course I have already do. There is lot of information (basic or more complex) and everything is explained by very simple and illustrative way. Thanks for that :-)

I have looked at quite a few courses and this seems to fot the bill. It is one thing learning by random Youtube videos but this leaves huge gaps in your knowlege. There is no substitute for a complete structured course where you can't leave out bits.

Really went into the course having no knowledge of HTML and found that Vishal has a good way of showing you different way of doing things and some brief conceptual knowledge. It is more practical orientated than theory, but that was to my liking. Overall, great course, and surprised he is offering it for free...I would have paid a few bucks for this.

While 7 hours seems long time, broken into the roughly 15 minute chunks makes it easier to get through. ** Sound in a couple of the lessons need fixing. The information provided here for audio/video made more sense / was better explained than some of the other courses I've done. Long(ish) but well worth the time.

The sound breaks up every so often and I just cant get the screen to adjust to a view-able view. I can't see a damn thing on my 32" Monitor. Turning up the zoom on Google chrome doesn't help either. Setting the resolution higher doesn't fix the problem either.

Regardless of the intermittent problems with the video and sound, the content and presentation of the course is way beyond what I expected from a free course. The programming aids presented also shows that the course owner is passionate about his subject. This shines through in the way he presents everything as he has chosen to show some very powerful programming!

This course provides a good overview of the features you are likely to use most when adopting HTML5. The downloads were good but I wish that they included the video for offline viewing and future reference. All in all I was satisfied.

This course could be better. It seemed like a random collection of how to do various small tasks, without enough context of how things fit together to build a complex site. For example, it wasn't clear to me initially that Javascript is part of what is loosely known as HTML5. Another concern is not an issue with the course, but the hacks needed to support various browsers are quite annoying. Seems like the vendors should embrace the HTML5 standard more quickly; this would simplify and speed development and make source code much cleaner.
