Description

So you've always wanted to start a vlog (or just create video content in general)?  Whether it's for business, income or fun, it all just looks hard... Like, really hard.

You might be frustrated that it's not going to look right, or be petrified of being on camera, or just confused about where to start with it all. It doesn't need to be like that though. This course is built from the ground up to get you on your vlogging and filmmaking journey.

It's comprised of 35 lectures built around:

Section 1: How to begin

  • Who is our audience and how can we help them?

  • Finding topics to vlog about

  • Who's done it before successfully?

Section 2: Film your first vlog

  • Creating your starting vlog set up.

  • What kit might you have access to already?

  • Scripting and planning your vlog

  • What sort of camera should I use?

  • Camera set up

  • How to get great sound

  • How to light my shots correctly

  • Cheap & Easy upgrades that you can make to your kit

  • Editing - where to begin? (Using Adobe Rush & others)

  • Where to find music for free (& why it's useful).

Section 3: Finding your Style

  • What style of video suits you best as a filmmaker?

  • How to present in front of a camera in a way that makes you look brilliant

  • Picking the right focal length to make you look good

  • What clothes should you wear on screen?

  • What sort of background you should set up.

  • How to film B-Roll for your vlogs.

Section 4: What platforms should you use?

  • Finding the right platform for you

  • Setting up your Youtube, Facebook and LinkedIn channels and uploading to them

  • Formatting your videos correctly for Instagram

  • Adding Subtitles to your videos

  • Using Thumbnails to get more viewers.

Section 5: Where to go from here?

  • Continuing your vlogging journey

  • How regularly to create content

  • What kit to upgrade to from here

  • How to progress with editing, using Adobe Premiere Pro CC

  • How to keep coming up with new ideas.

With 3 hours of content and 35 lectures, (one of the most comprehensive on Udemy) I go into every element of how you can make your vlog a massive, huge success as a Videographer, Vlogger, Filmmaker and Video Guru.

With zero technical knowledge, a bit of creativity and a minimal amount of kit (seriously, we're talking a mobile phone here) you can start your vlog, have a tonne of fun, do more in your business and reach more people.

I'll see you on the course.

Nick makes the idea of Vlogging fun whilst going over all that you need. From equipment to what you should wear and where to position yourself in the frame to how to approach content. I highly recommend this course. Go for it!

I thought the course would go into more detail about vlogging techniques and how to edit for vlogs. This course is very much a beginner course teaching you the core foundations of what's involved in Vlogging and the standard kit you will need. Nice presenter and an easy to follow course. I just was expecting more detail overall.

I love it. But for me being not very good at native English, the language is bit fast. Wish I could get every bit of information you give.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Nick's style is engaging and has a mix of listening and reading and also taking you through the tool he is explaining, experientially. Nice intro to V-logging , will definitely keep referring to the content and would recommend it as a great starter for anyone who wants to get brief tips and tricks on how to VLOG.

Nick know his stuff inside and he makes his courses, fun, entertaining and informative. Although I knew some of this because of the nature of my work, it was a fantastic insight into the areas I didn't, especially the technical side. For anyone wanting to vlog and doesn't know where to start I'd highly recommend this course as it gives you all the information you need in one place. Excellent.

Absolutely wonderful! Opened my eyes up on how to properly utilise 'video-making' and make the most out of what I already know and have available to me. Would honestly recommend this to anyone and if I could add another star to that score I certainly would! So factual, so competent and unbelievably useful. Thank you Nick Pilgrim and the Cinnerobota team for this course.

I take a lot of courses, but I love this one because of the tips, next steps, and topics covered. It's easy to watch and understand. I don't feel pressured or overwhelmed in starting and the right amount of information is presented in a timely and useful manner.
