Great course really easy to follow and understand. I started tinkering with GarageBand only iPhone but recently purchased and iMac and wanted a nice, easy yet informative course. This met and exceeded my expectation. Highly recommended for beginners.

Nice Course. For someone that is already familiar with garage band. I learned quite a few tips and tricks from this course that I can use in my GB projects. Thx Nat Pike!

I'm enjoying it. I've only just stuck my toe in. Ask me later. Curious if it will answer all my questions.

This course is awesome for me, cause i went in, using garageband with no experience and kind of learnt through my own trial and error. But seeing Nat explain in detail, with shortcuts and also with, the reason why certain things are used and with his own song as a sample/experiment/experience, has made it easier for me to understand and to know the knowledge and the reason behind certain functions of garageband and what they are used for.

Perfect! I am a total novice. A bit fast with the instructor's mouse and keystrokes for my slow brain but am keeping up okay. Thanks. 17th January 2021. Bit of a long gap but I am finding this tutorials very educational and informative. I am starting to better understand the potential of the GarageBand software and how powerful it is - even more so when you remember that it is a free package. WOW!!

This is the second course that I have completed via Udemy, and i must say that this is the perfect beginners course into Garageband. Nat's explanations are straight forward and very well explained. The way he has laid out this course is so smooth and easy to follow, i was intrigued and focused the whole time, and I also didn't get discouraged or bored at all! (I am so glad that I didn't give up in learning Garageband after the first course I did) I am left with a couple of questions that I wish were answered in the video, like: Section 3 - Effects Sends - "Why or when would I use those Master effects? Why not add Delay or Reverb to the guitar through Pedalboard instead? Although this question was somewhat answered toward the end of the video, I would have liked a deeper explanation on it. And also, "If I forget to set the Tap Tempo in the beginning of the project, is there a way to access Tap Tempo when already inside a project?". Section 3 - Sound Design: I really loved that you added this section into the Course :D I did want to add that there a couple of things that would have been good when added to the course, but I was able to figure them out through google search. One was, -when pressing Enter on the keyboard, it allows you to play from the beginning of the song- and also - how to move the cycle section (example, if you have the intro cycled and want the bridge to be cycled, how to move the cycle bar). These are very simple functions, but they are helpful with the work flow :) Anyway, thank you so much for providing us with this course, I will definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a beginner/ intermediate course. Thanks, and all the best! :)

Hello Nat, I wanted to pass along a heart felt thanks for offering such a well thought out Garageband lesson. I am old school in terms of MIDI with a studio full of stand alone Alesis equipment from the late 80s and early 90s which still works just fine to this day. I decided I needed to step up and move to the whole DAW recording world. I have an old 2008 iMAC that also still works just fine. It would only let me update Garageband up to 10.2.0, but it seems to be working good enough to learn with. I hope to update to a new MAC and load in Logic once I get a firm grasp of Garageband. I also discovered your YouTube channel just the other day and subscribed. Thanks again for all you do Nat!

Good overview so far and it is very clear and concise, for a beginner like me, overall now that I have completed the course I would say it is excellent. Very in-depth and well presented... I would say go for it...

Really enjoyed this overview. He covers all the steps I need to do basic recordings w/my band...and goes into more depth into items I can hope to get incorporate down the road. Well worthy the investment of time and money

This was/is perfect for pointing out how to navigate around this DAW. The instructor presents well and his tone and pace of speaking is bang on. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to do some home studio creativity. Thanks!

This course was a game-changer for me. Not only did I learn pretty much every feature of Garage Band, the instructor was knowledgeable enough to convey some of the basics of mixing and mastering. I never understood mastering before, and I'm 46 years old and have played in bands and messed around with recording for decades. Now I finally get it.

This course is the perfect introduction to garageband. Nat is an experienced studio engineer who knows a lot about this software and music production: How to work with the midi instruments, how to record acustic instruments and vocals? How to use plugins downloaded from the internet? Everything is explained thoroughly and easy to follow. He even knows tricks that you can't find in the official documentation, e. g. how to convert a drum loop from the library to midi. And finally you learn how to mix and master your track. Lots of very useful and precious tips from someone who has years of professional experience in this field. And also important: He uses the latest version of garageband (2019/2020). Lots of other courses use older and outdated versions. I can only deeply recommend Nats course to anyone interested in recording his musical ideas and bringing his production skills to a higher level.
