I didn't feel that this course really answered my questions... it stressed the importance of having a landing page that converts, but then the only advice it gave on writing a landing page was to stuff it full of keywords. There was not much about KDP Select. It stressed the importance of the cover but then just recommended getting someone else to do the cover with no information on how the quality of their work could be assessed. The social media information was very limited. There was no example book trailer... I don't feel anymore confident about marketing my book than I did before I bought the course.

The course is a perfect overview of marketing. However, I'm not sure that by doing these techniques one would reach bestseller status unless they have been doing these for a long time and have a following. I think this is a perfect primer for book marketing techniques with valuable sources of information.

I made it through 1.5 videos before I decided this course was not appropriate for me. I'm a writer with a solid grasp of editing and proofreading, so I find it unprofessional for a course instructor to discuss editing and proofreading in his course without having done that himself. Additionally, he was unnecessarily wordy and repetitive within the first two videos, and I didn't feel I would gain much from the course overall. His pace was nice, but he needs to outline what he's going to say so he doesn't use incorrect words and phrases in the moment.

This class gives a great overview on how to build buzz for your book. While I know a lot about general social media, it was good to know about the book-specific social sites.
