How to Make Money With Your 3D Printer

Overall great course in learning about 3D Printing in General and how to run it as a Business, if that is your goal. I myself I am a beginners in this 3D-Printing business stuff, so If your just starting out like I am then this course is for you. I am confused about the Cost Breakdown and where he is getting these numbers. I did post a question in the Q and A Section of the course and still waiting for an answer.

Kevin is a great instructor and easy to follow , content was good but overstretched from my point of view.

I'm about half-way through the course and really enjoying it. Everything you have discussed so far is very critical to any business, but I love that you focused this so well and with such attention to detail on 3D printing. I'm pretty excited to begin exploring this business and I thank you for your guidance! I'm an electrical engineering student and have been running a family business with my father for the past 13 years. For now, this will be a fun little side gig for me that could put a couple extra bucks in a pocket, but who knows? Maybe it'll go further than that! Either way, I'm pretty excited!

I've very much enjoyed this course so far, and feel more and more confident with every lesson that I will be able to make money using my new 3D printer without a problem.

This course was extremely helpful to me. The individual file cost/profit breakdowns were fantastic as well as the case studies. The analytics side and resources seem solid for any business not just selling 3D prints/files. Great job and thank you!

I wish I had this course years ago before I purchased my printers. I had the full intention to buy the printers and download some files and print them to sell. Well it's not that easy. I didn't know I had to get permission from the creators of the files to sell the prints I was creating. I was just going to open an Etsy store and put my stuff up for sale. I didn't want to make thousands of dollars, but make some money so I didn't have to work so much overtime at work to just pay the bills. There is so much stuff you need to go through to sell a print that I didn't realize. For someone who has never produced anything for sale before never thinks about the costs it takes from print to finish, electricity, price of filament, time it takes to print, and your time sanding and painting it to finished product. I think from now on I will just print for fun and give some prints away to family and friends as presents. Going through all of the work to set up a shop, website, finding freelance work for model creation, etc. is a lot of work for me because I work 60+ hours a week and have no time. If it wasn't for this course I would be in a lot of trouble financially with my power bill and not counting in the filament costs, plus any backlash from the creators of the files I was printing and selling without their consent. Oh and as I was doing this review, Esty sent me and email about their Etsy Purchase Protection program. Well presented and to the point. Covered lots of topics related to 3D printing. The gems in this for me were the expenses and revenue examples for selling 3D prints and digital 3D files. The sections on creating online courses, creating a YouTube channel, and affiliate marketing I could have done without and wasn’t really expecting given the focus of the course. However, the useful info definitely outweighed those less useful topics.

The instructor has prepared for his lectures. He is not really using the video much so far, but he definitely has a lot of good information.
