This is video course was specifically developed with expecting mothers in mind. This course really places a massive importance on prevention. It's my desire to enable expecting parents with the right information on how to properly integrate their new baby into a home with dogs. I also talk candidly about the when you need to think about re-homing your dog for the sake of your babies safety.
I get calls every week from mothers to be who are completely overwhelmed trying to get ready for their new arrival. Maybe you have friends with kids and want to know how to prepare your dogs for small visitors. If you are struggling to understand the things you should be doing to prepare your dogs for the new arrival, this course is for you. My basic approach is easy for follow as it is laid out step by step, in point form.

There is a lot of information in these videos but the format of just talking with no actual teaching or instruction makes it just a lecture, not a course.
When I chose this course, I expected a course. Someone teaching me something and testing my capabilities of learning what was being presented.
If there is no onus on the teacher to teach and all the responsibility of learning is on the student, most people will flick through the lecture and miss a bunch of information.
Example role playing videos to demonstrate the techniques he is implying would be more easily absorbed by the student than to just listening to him ramble on about vague concepts. Show the dogs responding to his training.
Also, perhaps, he could have explained how to deal with dogs that don't respond well to learning about boundaries and what the owner can do to overcome those types of training difficulties. If someone listens to his lectures and tries to implement the boundary training but fails, they will have wasted precious time. Time they could have spent learning concrete, specific techniques to train the dog. Then, all his good intentions would be for naught.

There are unnecessary opening credits at the beginning of each section. There are no commercial's why is that there? Another issue is this is just a To-Do list but provides no visual or verbal direction on how to train your dog to do any of it.

not what I would do and not what I did when I brought my son home that worked for me but other good info. only thing I did like was he doesn't smile or have exactment about the topic.

No concreta. Las generalidades que cuenta podrían llegar a ser interesantes pero con 15 minutos de curso bastaria. A parte no hay concreción , ejercicios , ejemplos...
Podría ser interesante, pero no.

Good short course with some helpful hints. As mentioned it is not a replacement for a trainer if the situation calls for it. Really liked his approach and love that the dogs safety and needs are as highly considered as the bubs.

I am a dog trainer and I agree with some of the things, but I find that some of the "rules" you put down are problematic.
However that is my personal opinion.

I enjoyed the course and felt it had some valuable information. I would have liked to see videos of the specific things he was talking about, rather than just him talking on a screen. But the information was comprehensive.

Just like all of his other courses, this instructor presents a thoroughly engaging curriculum. While some of the course material was repetitive, I did not take it as a negative, since he was stressing the importance of the points he was trying to make.

It is boring! It is just a guy spouting off a lot of information and storytelling without any action, examples, video assists or anything to keep it interesting.

Fantastic Course. I am a dog trainer but not a parent, Ted E is both and gives brilliant practical advice and solutions from experience.
I now feel comfortable conversing with people on issues that may come up when bringing a baby into a household with a dog(s).
