My initial review was 3 1/2 stars, which I’m sure I left as a “place-holder”— meaning to get back and write a comprehensive review, but between time being different now and me not easily finding where/how to send things on this I left the stars up and just saw where I could do this better. So 4 1/2 stars. Not 5 for a couple of reasons that had less to do with the class and more to do with Udemy. Did I learn how to use ClipStudio? Yes. This is the 2nd course on how to use CS I’ve taken on UDemy. It’s much more thorough and interesting than the first one. I’m more confident using this software now. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up for the “How to Draw Manga” course by Ed Foychuk and am currently working through that. I found out about this course through a sales email from “How to Draw Comics”, which is a live class with limited students, but immediate feedback — it’s live. I’d give that 5 stars, but again, it’s a different thing at a very different price point. That’s the other reason this only gets 4 1/2 stars, UDemy’s pricing. They don’t pick a number and stick to it. You take the price into consideration and while that’s happening, they are changing the numbers. You pay and start the course, but UDemy is still selling you the course at different prices. That makes you feel as if you either paid too much— or too little and you may have more than you need, or you may be missing something. The course if comprehensive, the platform software works and the teacher is engaging.
