Although I feel it unfair to rate the entire course as I’ve only finished the first unit, my reception toward the learning style that this teacher is implementing I feel is a great fit for me. I appreciate that it offers live examples and specific demonstrations of how to reach the course objectives by thoroughly breaking down the music composition methods that go into creating the type of musical tone desired. I’m looking forward to learning more.

The course is OK... Could be better if the author would speak more about why and how he has chosen certain rhythms. Because when I sat down and tried to write my own piece I just couldn't do anything.

Excellent and very precise. I love the idea of seeing the whole piano roll as art, where it builds up in sections, then slows down and finally has a booming finale, with more top nodes and female chorus

This was the most valuable and helpful class I have ever taken in music, and probably the best teaching I've had in any subject. To give an example of how high the quality of instruction is here, let me just say this: a couple years ago I spent 100 dollars on the Hans Zimmer Masterclass on composing and all he did was just talk about very vague things like moods and habits and random tips for writing music, but he NEVER gave concrete examples of how a template for a certain style of music could be used to compose and then showed us the process of filling out the template with specific sounds and techniques. Here, with the superior instruction and information in this course, you will have all of that information with someone who is - in my experience - a much better teacher and who also seems to truly care. When Mr. Bragstrom is walking you through each point of instruction, you get a sense he really cares and wants you to understand. The end result - I understood and learned a lot, and am so thankful for this course and the wonderful thought and time that must have went into it.

Dobry kurs, dużo ciekawych technik brzmieniowych, zwłaszcza tych polegających na nawarstwianiu różnych brzmień... Brakuje w nim za to jednej absolutnie podstawowej rzeczy, w zasadzie jak w wielu kursach tego typu... Jak konstruować ogólną formę utworu, budowanie intra, narastaniu napięcia, wprowadzaniu tematu, punktu kulminacyjnego i satysfakcjonującego zakończenia oraz wyboru najlepszych technik tak, by utwór nie był kompilacją "wszystko co potrafię". Bez nauczenia się formy, wszystkie te naprawdę dobrze brzmiące techniki same z siebie utworu nie zbudują. Mimo wszystko naprawdę przyzwoity kurs, z ciekawością się go oglądało.
