What is Emotional Music?

Let’s first define what emotional music is, because of course all music has emotion. By emotional music, I am referring to music that has that spark of beauty often connected to feelings of sadness, tragedy, longing, hope etc. Emotions that go deep and will make you feel the music in your heart and soul.

No mention of the chords used. Intimate & Soft yes, but also sad and Malinconico. Would if sound different if major chords were used?

I like Mikal’s videos. He has a lot of excellent information but I think the secret is to apply it on your own. No course will do it for you, you Gotta do it yourself. I only say that to remind myself.

Above expectations. I knew this course would be excellent, like all of Mike’s courses. I didn’t know how much I would learn about specific types of emotional music, and how to incorporate all of the elements, like con Sordino strings, woodwinds, ambient pads, etc. This course is beyond excellent.

Amidst confusion in the world - it is so nice to listen to harmony over melody. With a suspended smooth transitional process above it. At the same time know how to compose emotional music to put everything into perspective. To gage it right without discontent in such a slow tempo without signs of any temperamental chaos. To pose a suddenness so startling at ease. Where the ambience is projected as pure in the sound as in the touch of class. When it wraps the rondo in a loop without incessant repetition. That it spirals upward into a paradisal effect instead. Without lowering the expectations once suppressed.

This appears to be a good match for me. Though I'm not using the particular DAW the instructor is using (probably Logic or GarageBand), I fully understand the point he's trying to make and know how to transfer the concepts he outlines to the software I use. Also I like the format he uses of short bullet points about music characteristics, which I feel I can easily transfer to the sounds and software I am using.

Another very well-designed course from Mike.. Decent amount of knowledge, good examples, explanations and tips. The trainer dives into important details and he never gets lost (like many others do all the time). Whoever you are, you must have at least a few things to learn from Mike. Recommended..

Fantastic. Fantastic delivery. Perfect in every respect except that the contrast on the piano roll is a bit low and as a partially sighted person it is taking me some time to discern where the notes are. Apart from that one thing.. love the positive energy and confidence. Wish I had purchased more during the sale. Wondering whether there will be another. x
