How to Color the Undead
I Color Dead People (with pencils)
What you will learn
In this course you will learn how to create amazing, creepy, undead skin tones using colored pencils.
Why take this course?
In this course, you will work with three coloring pages that I drew just for this occasion. You will learn how to color three types of undead characters. Together we will create a pale ghost bride, a strange Japanese water demon, and the green-skinned bride of Frankenstein.
After completing this course, you'll be able to apply what you learned to all sorts of creepy and horror-style coloring by any artist.
This is one of my shortest courses and also one that's very light on theory and technicality. However, if you enjoy my teaching style, please consider taking one of my longer, newer, and more involved courses, like Color Theory, How to Color Gemstones, and many others.
I am a life-long artist, illustrator, author, tattooist, instructor, and YouTuber, and I'm here to share all of my professional secrets with you, and to guide you every step of the way. Remember that you can always reach out to me privately at any point during your learning journey, or post a public question in the Q&A section.
Please watch the lectures in order, and learn not just which tools to use but why, and the theory behind what makes certain effects look spooky. My goal is to teach you how to make your own artistic decisions. I will teach you not just how I color, but also how I think.
For this course, you will need paper and colored pencils.
The exact materials that Lisa will use are:
Strathmore 80lb grey toned paper
