Save Money by Building your own computer

Hello, my name is Ozarc and I have been building my own computers since I was 12 years old, saving me tens of thousands of dollars over the years.

Knowing how to Build a PC is a skill that will save you a ton of money, compared to buying a pre-built system from one of the many online companies, who not only overcharge you but slap together whatever log grade components they have available to them.

Rest assured that your hardware components are of the quality you paid for

By learning how to build your own computer you will be assured that your computer consists of the high grade components you personally bought and put together yourself.

Know how to fix your own computer

By building your own PC, you get hands-on experience on where all the parts go and connect form day one, giving you priceless insight on how to also fix it, should something break in the future.

This will again save you money from not having to let your local computer shop charge and do it for you.

Fundamental skill to have for anyone looking for a job in IT

If you are looking for a job in IT, then knowing how to build and fix a computer is a vital, fundamental skill to have on your resume.

Thank you. Since I am a composer and fine artist, I will be building two separate PC's for my business, i.e., a music production PC/Workstation and a graphic design Workstation for Autocad Mayo, Inventor, etc. Since I also enjoy woodworking, I am toying with the idea of a partial construct of my builds to include Hawaiian curly koa front wood paneling. Of course, such construction must include consideration of my chosen case design metal framework to ensure proper airflow and external/internal connector(s) and component(s) placement etc. In particular, I found your recommendations re part acquisition, layout, and cable management to be highly insightful, and your caveats noteworthy. Query: Did you use fire retardant spray paint for your primer and coating? Oh, lastly, (and although not your fault) I learned today that on August 15, 2023, the Discord.io site had been breached by a hacker. see https://mashable.com/article/discord-io-data-breach. Overall, yours is an excellent primer course. Best wishes.

I believe that this guide is going to be useful in the future because I always thought the idea of building/upgrading my computer was cool and now I know the steps to do exactly that, so I think this is a great guide.

nice course so far. Update: indeed enjoying it so far. Update (final): good course, but I feel you might need more courses besides this one, others here on Udemy, esp if you, like me, never assembled a PC before. The more the merrier. The course is worth it overall. Enjoy.

Very nice course, i think he done an extraordinary job in such short video that resulted nice and smooth instead of being long and boring as watching somebody managing cables and installing can be. I think only 2 things should be explained a little better: 1) price comparison : I used Parts Picker and despite is a great website very useful for beginner because gives you compatibility options is not the cheapest as i found same parts a little bit cheaper using different sites and also cheaper options on the same build without losing performance by just changing some of the components , some of them are also not available on Parts Picker so is good always to do a personal research before buying. 2) Booting: As booting might differ from the different components model it would be good watch more videos about it as here it's explained only for this specific build. everything else TOP

Brilliantly thought through and well-filmed, and the instructor was clear and explained many things simply so that anyone could understand. As he says in the beginning, you don't need exactly the same components or case as him to follow what he is doing and it is more than detailed enough to build your own PC alongside his course. Can't recommend enough!

Brushing up on skills that are very old needed something more up to date to get back up to scratch, this did it I found this very informative and interesting, this has given me the confidence to start building again & making gaming pcs. Definitely would recommend this for people needing to brush up the skills

A good compromise between exhaustive detail and too little explanation. The complete beginner will probably need to watch some sections over a few times. I would like to see some information on using liquid cooling, but this would probably fit better at a more advanced user level. Overall, this is a good course for the general planning and assembling of a gaming PC.

Very limited information only talks about physically putting the parts together...no other information about the parts itself of the computer - of how you can better choose the parts if you want a custom pc for your own preferences.

I really enjoyed this course and the way he teaches , the details and effort to make this videos has to be appreciated, I have a small suggestion to make , if you could explain the comparability of different motherboard and choosing cabinet for build , it will be really helpful. Thankyou
