Description

Facilitation. Imagine yourself facilitating a major event featuring leading thinkers in your industry. You can lead discussions and bring out the best ideas from competing viewpoints.

In this How to Be a Facilitator course you will learn the following:

  * The difference between being a good speaker and a good facilitator

  * When and how to interrupt

  * How not to speak too much or too little

  * How to put the spotlight on other people's ideas, not your own.

  * How to introduce other people properly

        * How to conduct a proper Facilitation

This Facilitation course is delivered primarily through spoken lectures. Because the skill you are learning is speaking related, it only makes sense that you learn through speaking.

The Facilitation skill you will learn in this class is not primarily theoretical or academic. It is a skill that requires physical habits. That is why you will be asked to take part in numerous exercises where you record yourself speaking on video, and then watching yourself. Learning presentation skills is like learning how to ride a bicycle. You simply have to do it numerous times and work past the wobbling and falling off parts until you get it right.

This Facilitation course contains numerous video lectures plus several bonus books for your training library.

TJ Walker has been coaching and training people on their presentation skills for 30 years. Now, through the power of Udemy's online platform, he is able to give you the same high-quality training that he gives in person to CEOs, Fortune 500 executives, and Presidents of countries. Only you can now receive the training at a tiny fraction of the normal fee for in-person training.

How long this Facilitation course takes is up to you. The longest part of the course involves you speaking on video, critiquing yourself, and doing it over until you like it. But if you get to the point where you love how you look and sound when you present it will be well worth the time spent. And having this skill will save you time for all future presentations in your life.

You can begin improving your Facilitation skills right now. You may have an opportunity to speak out as soon as tomorrow, so why waste another day worried that your facilitation and presentation skills are not up to high standards. Please enroll today.

"5 Stars! Excellent information that I can use for my speaking and teaching events." Udemy student Rick Sheridan

There is a 100% Money-Back Guarantee for this course. And the instructor also provides an enhanced guarantee.

What others say about TJ Walker:

This course will also help people looking to improve in the following areas: managing a diverse team, delivering bad news to customers, and communicating to drive change.

Note: In polarized times, the skill of listening to others and bringing together divergent views via facilitation is more useful than ever!

The way the facilitator unpacks the topics is very fruitful and informative, it prepares you for the actual facilitation session. I love it.

I have attended a few other courses on public speaking, but this one is different in that it acknowledges the nervousness and anxiety of public speaking and provides tips on how to overcome them. Secondly, it also encourages everyone to practice using their mobile phone and doing self reviews and improving the mistakes one by one.

I really understand how I can improve and train my public speaking. TJ repeats important things such as video training and goal setting. It is really helpful for me because I remember it many times. However, I think this course should be changed from 'Facilitation' to 'Public Speaking' because the contents almost focus on public speaking. Totally, I really enjoy this course. Thank you very much, TJ!

What I have taken away to this point Appear to speak without notes. Present something interesting about myself. (keep audience engaged) Avoid many bullet points in powerpoint. Ask attendees "What do you remember from my presentation" Speak so people understand what you're saying.

Though very lengthy, (and sometimes it does repeat itself!) it is a total analysis of "talking to folks better". To summarize : Learn how to not um and err, how to reduce a lengthy talk down to 5 memorable items, how to use body language , how to not feel worried about moving your hands, using the stage, using notes , and the most important thing.. practise on video.
Tanner
November 21, 2022
This class should be called Public Speaking, not facilitation. I purchased the class hoping to receive valuable tips and tricks to team facilitation, leading groups, and facilitation in general, but ultimately learned about public speaking for 95% of the class. While I found the information informative and parts of it useful, it was not what I was hoping to get out of it when purchased. Being an effective speaker is important in facilitation but the videos didn’t tie it back to facilitation for “facilitation” to be the main topic and course title in my opinion. I think majority of the sections can be combined and videos condensed to limit the repetition in the overall course. Most sections are repeated videos of prior sections (it does mention that prior to starting but it’s so very very repetitive). Overall, good public speaking course but I do not recommend it for any sort of person interested in gaining knowledge and experience in facilitation

This course was so helpful and gave me the tools to more confidently speak and deliver trainings at work. I have already recommended this course to numerous colleagues who have complimented me on my ability to deliver clear and engaging presentations. Highly recommend to anyone looking for tips on how to be a better speaker across multiple formats and subjects.
