Relevant for 2017. This course is designed for folks who want to host a blazing fast static site on Amazon AWS.

In order to have a really fast database driven site, such as Wordpress, you need an expensive dedicated server.

Many of us simply cannot afford a dedicated server. AWS gives us this power. It is true that a static site will be faster in any case but you are still stuck with high hosting fees. AWS again makes this very easy financially and when the time comes when you start to build a loyal following, AWS can handle high traffic.

This course assumes you already have a static site but if you don't I will include a place you can find a very nice responsive template for free.

I have studied the vast amounts of AWS documentation and created this course as the much faster solution to understanding how to get your static site hosted on Amazon AWS.

It looks like it will not be too difficult. I just watched it all the way through, now I will go back and work on my own site.

This course is very fast paced and direct to the point. It doesn't go into a lot of detail, but you can find tutorials on youtube and on Udemy to explain more in depth whatever you are missing. One thing this author didn't go over is AWS hosting prices in complete detail. He does say a little bit about pricing, but if you do go this route make sure you do a lot more research before you delve in and not be amazed at just how fast the server is. This course went so fast that it was finished within an hour. I thought that might be good, but in fact it left me wanting more information not covered in the course.

Simple instructions clearly demonstrated step-by-step. He speaks clearly and has a pleasant voice always nice when the teacher's voice aids learning instead of being a distraction. If your goal is a cheap, static website up and running fast this is the course to take. Well worth the $$.
