What you will learn

By the end of the course you will be able to facilitate meetings that add unquestionable value

You’ll save your colleagues from frustration and give them back their time

You’ll save your organisation money

Why take this course?

This course teaches you seven great strategies to:

·reduce the NUMBER of wasteful meetings

·make every meeting you DO hold give great returns

·run meetings that ENGAGE and energise people

·figure out what your meetings COST YOU right now.

·a chance to stand out as a manager who can run HIGH PAYBACK meetings

There don’t seem to be managers that can run good meetings – let alone great ones. ‘Pointless Meetings’ is the joint number one time-waster for business people, according to the Microsoft Office Productivity global survey.

As for interest and engagement - nearly three quarters of us try doing our own personal work during meetings. The true cost of meetings is often hidden. But not anymore. As well as showing you how to facilitate meetings, it gives great protocols for the whole team and for all types of meetings.

The principles have been tried and tested in classroom training courses in UK, Scandinavia, Iceland and North Africa, in a mix of global businesses.

The short summaries give you the basics, literally, in minutes. The 12 videos and accompanying book are structured in short, 5 minute sections - and you can keep improving from the greater detail whenever you want.

If you’re a first time manager, team leader, or business operator and you’re fed up with the time and cost wasted in meetings – click on the link and make meetings work FOR you.

The information on meetings itself was pretty good, however while the course acknowledges that personality analysis is mostly pseudoscience, it pulls its punches and expands on its own personality test

I like that the course broke successful meetings into a few key points. This will be a lot easier to apply than some other more complicated solutions.

Yes, this is very helpful. I am working with a consultant right now and I do not feel there is a clear agenda for our meetings. This is something I can change.

This has been an eye opener for me in that when organizing a meeting it is important to know what you expect to achieve at the end of the meeting.

I love the short sections. The breakdown of types of meetings and keeping them separate is helpful. I liked the reminder of "ownership".

Solid course. A lot of useful information given concisely. I was impressed how this information carried over into work situations. The only con is that it felt a little stretched out, timewise.

Much more information I thought the class would provide. I like the course content book was available for download for future reference.

Points are reasonable however the presentation is mediocre. Visual aids are inconsistent and frequently irrelevant. Volume is inconsistent with the presenter trailing off and picking back up at 2-3x volume and overall much lower than the title card music. The personality types chapter while a useful point to make has an unusual depth that seems out of place. Presenter appears to be knowledgeable but unrehearsed so the training feels more akin to a conversation rather than a seminar, not necessarily a negative but it can be jarring depending on your learning style and expectation.

There are some great points in this lesson about 'having' clear outcomes, and limiting attendance to where you can directly impact those outcomes. However, this is limited to small types of meetings. Many meetings now are about sharing information, increasing awareness, and multi-disciplined working meetings. There is rarely only one person in an "ownership" role, and nobody necessarily has authority. I'd like to learn more about different types of meetings.

I've enjoyed the first two sections, the conversational style/approach is worthwhile for this type of material in my opinion.

I like that the course is broken down by sections instead of 1 course that spans 1 1/2 hours long. So far, 2 videos in, and I have learned something.

Ironically, in talking about better meetings, the presenter - though giving great information - isn't a particularly inspirational nor engaging speaker.

I was impressed how this information carried over into every aspect of my social life, as well as work situations. Very valuable course!

This has become very outdated and lacks relevance to the largely hybrid/remote nature of many meetings today. Host lacks energy and while some sensible points are made these are very simple, extended over lengthy periods of presentation and lack nuance, context, or modern insight (or real-world examples). There is also some non-inclusive language used to describe unhoused individuals which is jarring and unwelcome.

speed was slow. needed more visual aids. it's mentioned in the training to keep your primary points highlighted to keep your attendees engaged but they don't include enough visuals to keep it engaging for the first 4-5 chapters of the course.
