As a DevOps Engineer, I recommend this course to anyone that is about to use Nomad in his work or projects. Bryan made a really great, to the point presentation with all the materials that would get you started operating on a Nomad cluster. I really liked that he included also the .pdf for every section. Very comprehensible. Easy to follow along. Concise. I gave it 4 stars and not 5 for the following reasons: - The installation and launching of the program needs to be reworked. If you follow along with the official documentation tutorials of Nomad. You have no idea why you should go to the /etc directory. It should work with the -dev argument in the CLI, right ? - While the examples were nice, it lacked "real-world" application. For example, there is no explanation as to how to pass arguments and options to your containers. Another example, there is no hands on example showing the difference between the host volumes and the container volumes (hint: you can try that with a MongoDB for host and an Nginx for local) - It could have gone a little further. For example: you have got 20 instances of your program running. Now let's include some load-balancing. Those were all points that I wanted to learn and had to figure out on my own. However, the course is of high quality and definitely covers the basics. If you want to start as an operator this course is great.

Very clear and understandable course. As someone who has self-taught himself how to use and setup Nomad, there are still some new things to learn or how to do something in a different way. I would highly recommend this course for beginners to bring them up to speed with Nomad having 0 prior knowledge.
