Confusing in parts. Earlier, she jumped from vd11 and vd12 but seemed to be running the same command and I did not know if I was supposed to do something different on each one. She also referred to a download that was detailed in a previous video except that it wasn't detailed. She also did not detail how to set up the third machine. Since I am an experienced sys admin, I knew that I just needed to clone one of the others and to update the hostname but for someone that is new, it might not have been as obvious. Still , I am learning quite a lot.

The video is great for starter. I think it could be big data developers first course. It is well structured but the version is very old , video needs to be updated.

Though the course content and delivery is good, it is an old version of hadoop. Would be good if it is revised to a newer version.

The content is good, well organized and easy to understand, however perhaps is time to update it since this is still on Hadoop 1.x which has some important differences with Hadoop 2.x

Pros - 1. Covers all basic admin topics. 2. If any command does not work, author explains why it failed and corrects the same. Cons 1. Hadoop 1.x Version 2. Less Quality Videos. 3. VM could be in full screen, half screen wasted 4. Low voice... can barely hear in Lecture 54 and 55 and lot of hiss noise.

very good detailed explanation for Hadoop cluster administration. I wish to have the same for Hadoop 2 as well and brief compares between Hadoop 1 and Hadoop 2

Instructor need to take care to explain all the steps. Instructor should not clip the video every now and then and should not run the commands behind the scenes. Las four chapters had no meaning at all. Over all a rating of 2.5 star. Thanks

Presenter of this course appears to be reading a script (with various misprouncing like BIOS, previous etc). Also lot of lectures are devoted to do few simple tasks and some of them are in fact incorrectly done like the SSH key copy (there is no need to generate keys in all servers). So far I didn't see when they are actually going to start doing Hadoop activities.

I was expecting to see instructor led course rather than straight, fast, no-breaks book reading by someone who does not know the technology. The script itself sounds like straight, dry, wikipedia article. I did complete about 10% of the total course so my review is not based on the complete offering, but I just couldn't make myself to waste any more time.
