Direct and to the point approach. I appreciated the course topic not being derailed and lengthy with rambling and personal stories or opinions.

This is less about counseling than it is about learning about the process of grief and bereavement. There are 6 sections and it wasn't until section 6 that counseling was discussed at all. It would have been nice to have a workbook and maybe quizzes between sections. And the entire learning was listening to the instructor read the PowerPoint pages which, I can do on my own since there's no interaction or personal touch to the training. I realize this is digital but there are programs out there that feel much more personal with real life scenarios and workbooks to practice training techniques. There was none of that. I don't feel the certificate is enough for me to feel I can assist in counseling those grieving. There was a very simple 10 question quiz at the end. This didn't feel like training but there was readable information that is good to know or be aware of. But it's the same information I can search on the internet.

A lot of information. It was easy to follow. The subject was interesting. It was set up really well. Teacher does a really great job and gives a clear explanation. Minus half a star because the sound is a little too low to listen to this course while on the move, doing household chores or simply if you have a lot of background noise going on in your environment.

Basic knowledge around grief and death, not necessarily what I'd hoped for, but decent. There is more to helping people with grieving than just the cookie cutter basics of counselling.

I found it to be an enjoyable learning experience. The logical flow and easy-to-understand presentation made it a seamless experience. One suggestion for improvement would be to include more real-life examples, as they would have added practical context to the concepts. Overall, I recommend the course and appreciate the insights it provided.

I wouldn’t say this course was particularly useful for understanding specific methods of helping people. I was hoping to learn ideas for specific techniques, question ideas, exercises to help clients, or other specific ways to put these concepts into practice. This course is good for a very broad overview, but not good for practitioners looking for specific methods or guidance on how to help clients.
